Hey now, I just agreed that it wasn’t funny, not that it wasn’t a stunningly excellent game.

It was funny for some time…then started to be annoying until these “secret characters”, but after that its going back to annoying.
Good joke guys but now after UFGT-8 let it rest…except if they are going to share the game than “hurr durr event only”.
So many people are mad salty about testers being able to participate in the tournament. Lol.
I hope there is a secret character in the game based on the man that gave us dive kicks.

Multiple hit dive kicks!
I just noticed something!
One of the tips from Uncle Sensei before every game is
This dude Keits was secretly giving a huge tip to people who played in the Pre-Tournament gameshow!
Sneaky sneaky!
There are definitely footsies and mindgames to be played in this game. I think the real allure to it is due to its nature as a party game. Getting together with gamer friends (whether they play fighters or not) and playing for an hour or so would be pretty fun. Because there are no execution requirements, it actually might open some of them up into figuring out how fighters work, since they won’t be able to beat players with good footsies very often.
This is, of course, all contingent on Keits releasing the game for some small cost on Steam or something. I imagine XBL and PSN are too costly (plus, too expensive to do patches).
Of course, I think they’d be pretty stupid if they put all this work into it and then weren’t planning on releasing it to the public. I just hope they strike while the iron is hot. They can’t release this two months from now… it has to be within a week or two, while people are still thinking about it. Hopefully the cost is around $5 or something. I know several people who would buy it at that cost.
Hopefully we’ll hear something about it soon.
As much as I like this game and appreciate this game, I don’t know how willing people would be to spend 5 bucks on a game where each character has less frames of animation than anime lip synching. If this isnt free the next best option would be a dollar on xbox indie games or steam.
and from watching the stream a lot, it seems that the preliminary tier list would have
Dive
Kick
Mr.N
as viable characters, while kung pao and wolverine as more sitational, or maybe they just need to be played more.
can anyone give me stats of Mr. N? does he jump higher than dive?
Tier list:
S: Dive (high dives, good kick angle), Mr. N (highest dives, bad kick angle until kickfactor)
A+: Kick (kickback kicks can beat out higher dives)
B: Wolverine (fastest dives, awful kicks, can’t cover distance, kicks cause groundbounce)
C: Kung Pao (weird kickback kicks, awful dives)
I can see Divekick doing well as a downloadble game on iOS, android, Vita, etc. Since the game uses only 2 buttons, it could work on any mobile device. I would pay good money to be able to play this game on my phone against another person on their phone during a flight or long car ride.
I’m not paying 5 dollars for this. I’ll wait until Sirlin rebalances it in 5-6 years with Divekick 3D Remix (Powered by Sirlin time manipulation technology).
“Marn, I’m going to get something to eat, I’ll be back in 5 minutes. Don’t DQ me.”
Good times, good times…
How is Kick able to Dive backwards?

release both to get wolverine
hold kick, release dive to get kung pao
hold dive, release kick to get mr. n
Updated first post with mizuumi wiki. Will add UFGT8 tournament footage when it’s youtube available.
Juicebox and UltraDavid lied to me!
What hurts me the most is pretty much all the software development is done (save for maybe online stuff), and the only thing keeping this game from seeing a full release is money and legal shit.
I want to play Divekick, this is the game the world needs right now.
