I bought it, expecting a basic shooter BF star wars mod with excruciating levels of visual detail and good netcode. That’s what I got and I love it. Still do. SFV was all about the online and it failed to deliver properly until after a week, and still suffers from several issues. So no, I won’t shut it. You’re comparing apples and pears.
Sucks to be a DmC hater too. I guess it’s too bad for them that I throughly enjoyed all 40 hours of it on ps3, and did so again on ps4. Not being able to take of the nostalgia glasses must blow, same goes for those who try to be offended by everything.
Well, you can accomplish that with a plane ticket and 100 US dollars here (and don’t forget that US citizens need a visa to enter Brazil, reciprocity is a bitch, I know)
If only things that I want to do before I die were that cheap…
Yeah, there’s this problem… we can’t even beat a fucking mosquito… Brazil vs Aedes Aegypti is a 0-10 matchup, it seems
But start learning some words in portuguese while you wait. Like, don’t say “threesome” to the girls, people in Brazil seldom speak english, so you better use the french expression “ménage à trois”, wich somehow is really popular here and everybody knows what it means.
I don’t care about the women and all that since I already have one,
But the geogrpahy and history of Brazil and the whole South American continent is pretty incredible. Would love to go see some of it some day.
I care about women because I’m poly and the women in Toronto are really hot. I’m happy. Very happy. Though being born and raised in south america, I do miss my mamacitas now and then.
Also why are we even talking about this. These boards and their ever-derailing threads are sporadic as fuck.
Capcom: “Sorry, this was an unforeseen consequence of online play that could not have been predicted. Since it’s only 2003 and online gaming is only starting out ESPECIALLY with fighters, you can understand how we didn’t consider this.”
Capcom: “…hmm? What’s that? It’s 20***16***?! Get the hell outta here!”
While I can’t bypass the fact that there is missing content in launch and that servers + multiplayer overall aren’t working correctly, I’ve been there before and seen some shit.
I mean that since I’m PC player, I’ve seen tons of games that have had launch between extremely bad to damn good. Even those that have seen a bad start (Battlefield 2 or Fallout 2 for instance), have shortly after and later on declared as classics. I don’t say those launches were justified or needed but great gameplay was still there, just like it is for SFV.
Also, console players aren’t that used to sloppy launches since whole trend started just few years ago. Again, I don’t / can’t defend buggy or unfinished releases and no one should, but it’s just that today’s console games pretty much have started an age that has been around in PC gaming since 90’s. There’s ability to patch content in and do more frequent work to kill bugs but at the same time, possibility is that game will not ever receive outstanding stability.
With SFV, I’m confident that things will be alright and that there will be support throughout next years and that things will evolve. If we compare to CS:GO for instance, it started as an product that was overlooked, panned and criticized by Counter-Strike community and pro players, yet nowadays it’s extremely successful game in competetive and casual scene and game is overall liked and main focus of the community.
Question is whether SF players are likely to wait the same, that game will evolve and / or fixed.
