Only counting SP contents, easily enough FM for 4 dlc chars, with 5 very possible
If DLC ones will get story and survival, probably enough FM for all 6

majority of the DLC in SFV can be unlocked for free with the in-game Fight money
or if you are lazy, microtransactions for pretend money to unlock pretend items.
I think the only DLC you have to buy are the additional costume packs and other cosmetic stuff.
They said DLC characters were gona be 100k. They even said you SHOULD have more then enough FM to easily purchase him. Which to me sounds like they aren’t concerned with giving away characters for free. Put in a little elbow grease and viola. Characters unlocked, just like in the old days.
Lol, in my first 15 min of game play I made 10050 in Fight Money just by dicking around. So by my math if I got serious and played for maybe another 120 minuets or more I can make that 100k.
Capcom is not going to set the Fight money requirements higher, that just be stupid. Not to mention the backlash. They will just make more things to unlock as time goes.
You can buy costumes with FM too. It will cost 40K for costumes.
Even better. I was not concern with costumes, but hey it gives me more to work on.
By the way I made that initial 100K+ from 10,050 in about an hour.
and I am best a intermediate level player doing scrub level stuff for fun. I been screwing around in Story Mode, just going down the line, and I haven’t even hit Zangief yet
Any player worth their sauce can crank out 100k in fight money easily enough.
You can run story for all the characters and boom 160k right there.
Agreed, I also did some random online fights here and there.
Counting time for breaks and life and work and such, it might take a player playing a few hours a day maybe a month to a month and a half to unlock everything.
That isn’t that bad at all.

OK so I had a chance to play again this weekend. Online works great except for crossplay and long distance. I’m a lot happier. Playing with Chun-Li, I was able to figure out some fun combos. Though they still feel a lot more “dial-a-comboish” than SF4, I was too harsh about the combos before, they aren’t as shallow as I initially thought. With content coming out soon, things look up for this game. However… Survival is infuriating.
You can get 200 or 300K easily. I’m at 260K and I still have a lot of characters to do Normal Survival. You can also do Hard and Hell Survival, but that’s way harder
The problem is, after the initial batch of SP content (Story and Survival) the grind really starts, because every Ranked Match win gives you only 50FM. So you’ll be able to grab 2 or 3 characters “for free”, as for the rest we’ll have to wait and see how the Daily Challenges will be and how much FM you can get from them.
And you can only buy Story Mode costumes for 40K, the premium costumes can only be acquired with Zeny and you have to buy Zeny with real money.
Not sure what you mean? Are you referring to the problems Destiny is having and stagnant content? I am aware of Destiny’s issues too, but at least Destiny has somewhat manageable online and I enjoy that game. I love the gameplay of SF5 so in that aspect it’s a great game, it’s a bad game in that you can’t ever play it the way I fighter should be played. I still cannot get one single match without huge amounts of lag. I had a few decent matches with one of my friends in a lobby and then it went back to shit. I want SF5 to do well because I love Street Fighter, but I think Capcom is running it into the ground. I don’t want this to turn into SF3 where we have to wait nearly 10 years for a new release if ever.
Dont understand some of the scrub comments on here, value propersition is really good IMO and even more to come!

You also gain 1000 FM for each lvl up on a character. I have almost 300k FM. Casual matches also give FM. 50 a piece though. I rekon…10000FM for the daily challenges
spend some time and do this guys trust me. Do story mode for every character, not only do you get good fight money but you see characters i havent seen in sf in a long time, secondly do easy and normal survival mode with all characters, you will just as i have gotten a just a bit under 300k fight money. i’m at 309,000 fight money give or take. That should be enough for 3 dlc characters if you want or just a dlc and some cool dlc costumes 
All story modes, all characters easy and normal survivals, and you can only buy 3 characters with that? Free DLC my ass. Yeah, free if you want to grind online for 10 years.
You can’t double dip on single-player content, sadly
The content is coming for sure but not happy with the $60 now then don’t buy it plan & simple & buy it when it gets the rest added which is ONLY a MONTH later, pay what $30 on release so these same idiots can say WTF Capcom selling arcade & challenge modes etc. for $30, $60 buy now or later either way you are getting the full game but buying now you get it shortly after.
