Did you buy STREET FIGHTER V? Then have some chill plz

Online works, after the initial launch. Lets drop the hyperbolic crap already. Thanks.

The Killer Instinct updates cost $0.00 …

Lobbies, Arcade ladder, Story Mode, Shadow mode, new moves. All free.

If SFV was $30-$40 bucks for all 16 characters, and then they turnaround in March and charge an extra $10 for lobbies & challenges, that would be another dickhead move by Capcom.

The profit would come by selling characters, outfits, stages, taunts, victory poses, character intros, titles, stuff like that.

Everything else should be free.

Sad thing is…I am enjoying my copy of Under Night more. Also, this game gave me the feeling Silent Hill: HD Collection did back in 2012. Raped.

I love and hate SFV at the same time

The core mechanics and the visuals are all pretty good, everything else is shit

A lot of things that Vanilla SFIV and its sequels had it are nowhere to be found on SFV. Where are my replays, for starters? More than 2 player lobbies? Arcade Mode? Proper Story Mode? Trials? Store? Challenges?

Not to mention what SFV lacks that the competition has been doing for a while now. Where are the frame-data? Why do I have to look on the internet or buy a $10 guide for something that MKX or DOA5LR have INSIDE THE GAME, FOR FREE?

What’s the point of the blind ranked match? I have to fight whoever the game decides based on a connection information that I can’t trust (how many times do we have a 5 bar connection that sucks?), I can’t see who I’m fighting, what country he’s from, nothing… I can’t even have a runback against a good opponent or avoid ragequitters or people who lag-switch or have no idea how to play the game and are just a waste of time… and all that for what, avoid boosters? Who cares about them enough to sacrifice the ranked match for the other 90% of players?

Not to mention the server issues that plague even single-player modes and increase the loading times 10x

I was specifically talking about the issue of one of the players receiving the rollback and the other having a smooth experience.

When the netcode works it works great and I’ve had a lot of smooth matches but when its shit for whatever reason its hard to keep cool.

He simply cannot help it. He is a hypocrite right down to his rotten, useless core.

Po is to objectivity and fairness what DmC is to Po.

You’ve never seen me post before. I’ll make it fatter next time.

This will be my last post for the thread until 6 months from now. The rest I leave up to you to chill or not chill about the future of Street Fighter V. I will be back in 6 months and say “I told you so” when this game is flourishing with everyday sales, content and EEE SPORTS streaming.

Not everything that will finish well, started well. The foundation is there it’s just whether you stick around for it.

August 23rd, I’ll be back. Hopefully with Ibuki and Urien.

Man, I must have missed the most serious issues. I was traveling over the weekend after launch, but did get some local matches in with old friends I was visiting.

Today, I had a long set with a friend online that was virtually perfect, lag-wise, and later got a string of 12 or 13 ranked matches within the space of an hour and a half. Only one was really laggy, but I blame it on the fact that other player was using R. Mika.

Fuck R. Mika.

You better be prepared pay for them, because you damn sure won’t have enough Fight Money…

Capcpom fucked up… Just admit it, geez.

Characters are only 100k though…

Just single player contents give you enough FM for 3 or more DLC characters, far from finish everything and i’ve already enough to unlock 3

Then there will be months of dailys to get 4th, 5th and 6th

You can easily get 300,000 FM with the available single player. Once challenges get added that’s another source of easy FM. I already got enough to buy Alex on both PC and PS4. Working on affording the second character.

I wager daily challenges will be 10k FM a piece.

I’ll make ONE more post just for Po.

Capcom already stated that the daily challenges that arrive in March will be a big part of how you get fight money. Playing actively for a little bit every day or every other day they said should be enough to get you the characters for free. They want you to get the characters for free as long as you put some time in.

They want to keep the paid stuff to cosmetics as you’ll find out, all of the premium cosmetic stuff will only be purchasable with Zenny. Zenny can only be gained with real money/currency. Whereas characters have no Zenny lock to them. Characters are fight money purchasable as well which technically makes them free. This will mean the dollar focus will be on costumes, not characters.

Which means I DAMN SURE WILL have enough fight money.

Like I told you before, the companies that you like all have their stink too. It’s just the stink you live with.

All of the games I like or liked 3rd Strike, Killer Instinct, Marvel 3, Skullgirls…they all fucked up somewhere. Every game fucks up somewhere. It’s just if you go for the ride you might like what comes out in the end.

And I’m out of posts. 6 months.

fuck making the game only for casuals but this isn’t the issue. how did you get into SF? you, like everyone else, started as a casual. when i was going into the arcade at my mall in 1991, i heard some crazy ass elephant sounds, looked at the new cab and saw a green monster man doing flips across the screen. i’ve been hooked ever since. it wasn’t the competitive scene, or the ‘fgc’, or looking for great gameplay. it was the visuals and wanting to see special moves and shit like that. there has to be something to suck you in and then get you into the game first. from there you can get hooked to the competitive aspect and gameplay.

No way. Maybe 5k, but more likely 1,000 or thereabouts. Not that I mind. The stupid, nonsensical Koin (or whatever) dailies in MKX kept me playing that game long after I should’ve stopped, and that’s despite the fact that I had pretty much unlocked all of Mileena’s extra content (which is all I cared about) on the first day.

But regardless, I’m more than happy to pay real money for new content in SFV. It gives me a chance to demonstrate real support for something that I value, and I don’t mind doing that–especially if it encourages the development of yet more content and helps to increase the longevity of a game’s support life. I felt the same about the SFIV installments, and I’ll definitely be buying the new versions of BlazBlue and Guilty Gear.

That’s exactly what I think. I’d be really surprised if a daily yields more than 1k FM. Not to mention they will probably be boring, force you to play with all characters and whatnot. Fuck any shit that makes the game feels like a chore imo.

Bought 2016 season pass today on Steam. Don’t think I will regret this decision at all, getting all story costumes is gonna be enough grinding for me.

For all you people that hate on Street Fighter V, how many of you bought and liked the new EA Star Wars Battlefront?
If that answer is yes then SHUT IT, you gave up your right to speak.

For as much as people complain about Street Fighter Battlefront was that much worst.
Capcom already gave us the core game play as far the FGC is concern a complete game and everything else of substance (and not cosmetic) for free.
They [Capcom] are letting you earn in game cash via game play to unlock everything.

EA literally sold people half the game at full price then asked people to pay a full price again for the other half in form of DLC.

Still trying to figure out what was wrong with DmC.

Anywaaaays…Capcom fucked up and people should be worried. I don’t understand why people are comparing a game in niche genre to something like COD or Battlefront. Also it’s plausible that that reviews could change, I remember IGN changed it’s review on LoL because of the type of game and how it was updated and sfv is similar to that. Trying to say people shouldn’t be worried is a straight up delusion.

Sf5 and chill? I dunno about that.
