Did you buy STREET FIGHTER V? Then have some chill plz

Fuck the casuals

The only thing I know is that I’m happy for being able to play this game now instead of waiting until story mode comes.

Do you guys actually get to play ranked? For reals?
Yesterday I started logging - 10 out of 23 fights actually started (6-7 of those was against the same opponent)
Today it was 1/10 before I said fuck it I have better things to do
Edit: in case someone wonders
2500k OC @ 4,5Ghz, 8GB RAM, 2x 780 GTX in SLI
Internet connection is 250/20 Mbps

For me both ranked and casual matches are working just fine. And I played lobby other day without problems.

The thing is if Capcom did charge less at launch then the content that’s coming next month and after would all be paid content. Then the complaints would of been capcom is a blood thirsty corporation that doesn’t care for their supporters. You can make this self entitled generation happy. Just ignore them, in a few weeks all these complaints would be moot.

Capcom’s crime in this is making people wait a few weeks. Omg the horror!!!

All I know is they need to fix the shitty netcode. I bought this game so I can play people online due to the lack of competion in 3s. Instead i’m getting 4-5 bar connection matches with shitty rollback, fps drops and the occasional dropped inputs. I’m litteraly pressing a button and the normal doesn’t register and thats playing against someone that lives about 2km away from me. Also how the hell did they manage to fuck up having a stable 60fps offline which is manditory for fighting games?! And no its not a problem on my side as proven by the number of people having the same issues. I don’t understand the people that blame the customers for cacpcoms fuck ups, we paid for this game it has issues and its on them to fix it. I also don’t understand the people defending them. The game clearly has issues if you don’t speak up we will all be fed with the same pr bullshit and damage control like always.

Shitty netcode? Nah you are 100% wrong. Check your ISP speeds, stop downloading porn, and tell your friends to stop with the porn. Also close your torrent programs. Even if you pause your download you are connected to those IPs and that takes up bandwidth.

I never understood this shit. Loved dmc1, loved and played the shit out of dmc3, and then dmc came out and I loved the combat and the visuals. It was a great game.
Either way you know a lot of people don’t bring this up much but if you’re paying full price for a game you at least expect the online component to work, after 3 extensive betas and several stress test, no? You’re supposed to trust a company to release a game that is playable, and the way online stands it’s really shitty. It’s not good for casuals or for hardcore players. Nothing wrong with being entitled to want your triple A game to function at some level that’s above utter shit. Capcom released an unfinished and unpolished product and we’re complaining about it, that’s how stuff works.

Yeah ok man I guess you know better than me having been to my house knowing what internet I have and watching me play all those matches while downloading porn right? You may not be experiencing issues but a lot of people including me are and there is video proof of that so stop acting like everything is perfect and at least admit this game has problems.

I never said it didn’t have any issues. Netcode just happens not to be one of them.
Now if you wanna say capcom needs to keep patching their servers. You would have more of a real point. I bet the servers aren’t treating everyone equally just yet.

I don’t think you realize how retarded that is.

This attitude would kill the genre. Without the casuals driving sales, we wouldn’t even be talking about SFV, as it wouldn’t have been made. Why do I say that? Here’s some facts:

Capcom’s USF4 retail/digital sales for the game in 2014, not counting the folks who upgraded Super SF4 to Ultra, was a little over 500,000 copies sold. By comparison, there were roughly 2,000 players competing at EVO 2014. Let’s say there were 100,000 people viewing the tournament via streams, and you have 102,000 hardcore/tournament players invested in some way to the largest-by-a-lightyear fighting game event in the history of the planet.

102,000 out of 500,000 players. 4/5 of the games playerbase were casuals. Let’s remove the casuals from the sales numbers, and say 102,000 copies of the game were sold, only the hardcore/tournament players purchasing the game.

100k copies sold. Do you actually think, for one moment, that Capcom or Sony would have funded SFV with that as sales figures| Fuck no, they wouldn’t have.

It is the casual players wallets that keep you playing fighting games, as without them, the games wouldn’t even be made. Now then, what is it that drives casuals to purchase the games| Arcade mode, story mode, 1vsCPU, etc etc. Single player options, as well as random fight nights with beers with their buddies. Not tournaments. Not trying to learn frame data, or anything of the sort.

SFV totally lacks what the vast majority of the games sales(read: playerbase) desire in their purchase…and Capcom charged full retail price for it. In addition to that mind-boggling fuck up, the game is have serious issues for online play, be it server issues, lack of an actual Endless battle-esque mode for more then 2(seriously? just 2?) and you have more then enough reason for people to be pissed off. Capcom could have saved themselves by charging $30 for the current version of the game, and $30 for the additional single player/offline content when it’s available. That little change would have prevented the backlash they are receiving at this time.

People need to stop white knighting this release, as any way you slice it, it’s a disaster. It is unacceptable, in every way, for the game to have been released in it’s present form. Period.

If you buy the game and hope to get good stuff in future, you better STFU and hope others do the same

Make clear there is shit to fix is ok AND NEEDED

Encouraging the whole negative loud aura around the game will only keep alive a internet shitstorm that’s killing the sales

Low sales = shitty and shorter support

Example will be more useful make known that starting from very close future modes and contents will be released and be free, since many ignorant casuals will be just keep away from the negativity and never know it

Peoples act like internet whining make them smart-consumers, while the only result they can obtain is make the situation of the product worse, in exchange of some nerdrage satisfied internet-handjobbing eachothers

Whatever is the state of SFV right now, Capcom may have sold us for 60$ the begin of something awesome and long lasting, or the begin of something sad and short living

Guess wich direction you bitches are pushing for

What’s sad is that they could have just called it an open beta, and everything would have been fine. The game would have been out for the upcoming competitions without mainstream reviewers and gamers being as disappointed as they are right now. So not only is it a failure from a technical perspective, they also dropped the ball on the management side by signing off on this as the full retail release.

I’m not against love, but post like that show why inbreeding is’nt a good idea

It’s not whiteknighting caplol, i can list a decent number of reasons that make me hate them in the past

It’s do the smart thing hope that negativity pass soon and they get enough money to see SFV as something still profitable and worth of $$$ support in future years

Yea, I agree that being loud about how shitty it is atm doesn’t help the image of the image of the game, but the largest game review sites have already layed it down, what we say here won’t really have an impact on the casuals or the big picture. With DLC being virtually free if you grind, I’m positive that capcom has accounted the initial sales of the game for AT LEAST 80% of the the support budget to come in the next 4 or 5 years. They already fucked up at release.
I’m all for the whole long lasting awesome thing dealie but you know what, capcom’s been around since the 19 fucking 80’s. Dont piss your customers off…is something you should know after existing for like 28 years.

The online worked, came with basic and ranked match modes, it had several weapons and stages, tons of clothing accessories with various perks, and a full single player mode that teaches you the game mechanics out the box.

Only things Splatoon was “missing” at launch was Lobby Creation, Team basic and Team Ranked, and additional gameplay types.

It was also the first time Nintendo has attempted such a game… The very minor issues Splatoon had pale in comparison to what SFV is dealing with, and Capcpom been at this shit for over 25 years at this point.

They fucking know better.

EDIT: Oh, and Nintendo told EVERYONE exactly what they were doing with the game, unlike “wait three weeks before launch and toss out a quick press release and hope no one notices” Capcpom.

Well, the server maintenance did nothing to help my fps dropping dramatically after about 15 minutes of gameplay…here’s hoping a patch comes out soon to fix this garbage of a game,

I love street fighter to death but dammit capcom…

You think that the single player being a glorified tutorial is a good thing? It was repetitive, and had little substance. If the entire single player was gonna be a tutorial it would have been better off having the regular maps populated by bots. That will give you the multiplayer experience without the multiplayer.

That wasn’t the only thing that was missing. Voice chat was completely omitted. When you have a multiplayer team shooter being able to communicate to coordinate your actions. Not having voice chat for the reason they gave was downright retarded. Local multiplayer provided at launch was a mini-game distraction instead of the real deal.
