I got a question too. Is there a benefit to using s.lp vs c.lp? Damage wise they are the same.

bebop3000: ya that works on anyone… all of bison’s b&bs work on everyone… and finishing his combos with scissors is very important as i feel… because it lets u knockdown and build more meter… so u can go for cross-ups or pressure on wake up… keeping them on their feet and finishing a combo with s.hk is not as good because u can’t continue on with ur offence afterwards… unless they are cornered u r too far away for u to poke and u don’t have any down charge… whereas if u finish ur combo with scissors then u have a full charge ready for all ur specials and especially on blocked lk scissors u can really pressure them if u have ex bars or ultra…
When you are doing the jump back HP, does the ultra connect because its a counter hit? I thought counter hits give you more frames to connect another hit?
No, it works because it does +18 hit stun.
I’ve landed ch s.hk > s.hk on Ken during matches several times but when I attempted it in training mode it didn’t work.
Turns out that if Ken snaps his head backward when in hitstun animation, it doesn’t hit, but if Ken leans forward for the hitstun animation, it hits.
Sometimes, SF4 hitboxes are more wacky than my tobacco.
So I was messing in training mode, new crossup scenarios etc, and I was messing with j.mpx2 for awhile, so instead of doing the j.mp twice I would hit them once, and this might be old but I was able to connect a standing fierce, a st.rh, etc, and it would combo, Im sure most of you already knew this but Im wondering if any of you guys can come up with a cross up or something different.

Noob question… Some of the combos that are being posted contain ‘xx’. what does that mean or stand for?

I dunno, maybe everyone already knows this, but after an anti-air focus attack against an airborn opponent that sends your opponent flying far away, you can still hit them with a slide!
It’s more fun to dash in then j.mpx2 into ultra.
Without ultra, j.mp into st.hk works fine.

I get to the bit whee i dash forward, BUT IT NEVER GOES INTO THE ULTRA!!! it always seems to teleport, and thats not because im doing the last bit wrong becaus i noticed if you press left right left right without all this FADC stuff it teleports anyway.
can someone show me a vid of this happening so i can atleast see what it should look like.
I swear i am doing everything as you have said. FA, hold back till 2/3, DC, hold back before the dash frames are even happening, then at the end of the dash i do forward, back, forward (since my stick was already in the back position) and its just frickin teleports!!

You probably don’t have enough charge when you’re attempting it. You need to wait a little AFTER the dash ends, so just hold back for a bit longer.
Instead of:
:l:, :r:, :l:, :r:, :3k:,
Use:
:l:, :r:, :l:, :uf::3k:.
Trust me, it works. You’ll most likely hit the opponent as they’re just about to hit the ground. I was doing this against Sagat, and the earliest I got it out was when his head was just passing Bison’s waist.
Personally, I’d rather just have charge beforehand instead of DC’ing, but whatever floats your boat. This is a good way of landing the ultra if you don’t have charge to start with.
also, you DONT have to dash -> ultra to connect.
You can change during the attack animation and input the Ultra at the end and it’ll pick em up from the fall state. trade off is that you might miss the first hit.
yeah but it’s soooooooo much easier it’s not even funny. I honestly don’t see any practical reason to dash after a FA to ultra except you want to make things more difficult.
N00b question, but what does c.short and c.forward mean ? :rolleyes: I understand the c. part, but what is short ? And forward as in pressing forward ? I used the search, but couldn’t find the answer.
