could this combo work?
c.lp, s.lp, c.mp, c.mp, s.rh
could this combo work?
c.lp, s.lp, c.mp, c.mp, s.rh
c.lp, s.lp, c.mp, s.rh should work… if not atleast s.mk should work instead of s.rh… i’m not sure cause i never tried it… but frames work out so i’m guessing yes i don’t think c.mp, c.mp combos unless it was a counter hit… but why would u wanna do that freaken hard ass combo 3 one frame links when u can combo easily into scissors…
unless I’m reading it wrong, the frames doesn’t allow you link 2x c.mp…it has +6 on hit and 7 startup O_o
if you’re looking for a combo to do when you don’t have a charge, I think somebody listed something on page 1
Shout outs to testamentlol. GG’s my dude u showed me some tricks in Bison v. Bison matches. Anyone want to game sometime hit up the PSN. Testaments a good Bison I recommed matches w/him.
I know comboing into scissors does more damage and is much less difficult but I want to have a fat combo that doesn’t require charge. I guess I’ll work on
c.lp, s.lp. c.mp, s.rh
I guess it would have to be the charge rather than the cancel itself. I have the timing down on the SK in other combos. Thanks.
So easy to connect this link~ While charging back, C.LP + S.LP + C.LP + C.MK + Scissor Kick + Super Nightmare Press. Not much damage lo.
While Standing, this combo can only work on some characters to get 2 hit with S.HK twice
massive Damage as well. Sagat, Rufus, Zangief, and abel…
i found easy to spot the timing with those guys, but others it wont link the 2 hits S.HK.
Not to sound like a douche, but if you’re trying to avoid charge combos, Bison isn’t the character for you. He has like one or two decent combos that don’t require a charge, but he’s a charge character. So I would say learn him well, or switch to someone you can use to their fullest.
i am not trying to avoid charge combos…i can do them perfectly fine, but there are times when i do not have charge and need to combo into something.
I just want to throw this out there;
I think I actually found a use for connecting SSD from a headstomp.
It’s the one Bison move I never used until now.
If you’re playing against someone who overuses focus attacks in situations where they may or may not connect,
headstomp them while they charge it.
You’ll land on their head, the hit will cause the focus-attack to come out and miss you because you’re above them,
then they won’t be able to do anything long enough for you to followup with skulldiver, which can link into m.K into scissors.
It’s the only situation I find his skulldiver useful,
because as far as I know you’re actually guaranteed to hit if you time it right.
I did this in a CE match today against a Balrog and found it hilarious.
I’m sure it works on a lot of characters,
I can’t think of anyone on the roster off the top of my head who have focus attacks that hit high where bison lands the stomp.
i don’t think anyone is really going to try to focus attack a head stomp… if anything they probably would fadc it in which case trying to do skull diver afterwards will have u eating reversals… skull diver can be used as sort of like a cross up on occasion when u don’t spam it… then comes in handy… and cr.mp, cr.mk xx scissors is ur best follow up to it…
^I’ve played against quite a few people on XBL who stand about a half-screen away from you and charge a focus attack because they think you’re just going to jump into it. Maybe they really were just failing miserably at an attempt to FADC, but regardless, in that case, headstomp to SSD would yield pretty good results. If I didn’t pull it off against the boxer I played today, I wouldn’t be posting this.
I know what you mean about it being dangerous if they’re actually FADCing rather than charging a focus attack, but you can tell the difference when someone is doing that because it happens so much quicker. Usually nobody will charge a focus attack in response to a headstomp coming at them, but I meant when someone is just throwing a focus attack out there before you initiate the HS.
How come I don’t see jump in HP > close standing HP > Psycho Crusher? It does a delicious amount of damage yet, it seems to be underappreciated or am I wrong?
From my personal experience, that combo is great in training mode but you rarely ever land the j.HP.
hey this might be an ultra scrubby question…
but what is bison’s armor breaking move?
i feel so stupid cuz i’m not sure if it’s the headstomp or the psycho crusher
and i’m like… not even a scrub!!
psucho crusher is his AB move. using regular PC against boxer’s rushes is gold!
you can also “fake” crossup with skull diver. Since bison has ridiculous air movements after stomp, you can start a crossup, and still come back in time to hit them on the original side. This messes up DP reversals quite a bit, and leaves you close enough to start a block string.
of course every now and then actually do cross them up so you don’t get predictable
EDIT:
You can see what I mean at 3:58 in the following video.

^I guess I’ll practice incorporating it into my Bison game a little bit more,
but as of now I still don’t feel too safe using it other than in the situation I initially stated.
I punished an FA with it again in a match today against Sagat
I thought he was going to hit me because his elbow goes kind of high up when he charges,
but the FA missed and I was able to followup with the SSD. I love it.
ya that’s what i meant… thus the cross over to coming back and comboing with cr.mp, cr.mk xx scissors… sorry for not clearly saying it… lol… btw i don’t really like actually crossing up that much cause if opponent can catch on then i risk eating free damage…
