Diablo 3?!

Revisiting Torchlight in anticipation. That game is somewhat too…colourful.

I straight ran Meph, and his three lil’ throne room bitches, with my Fire-orbstress.

What could Pindy give you, beyond runes, that Meph couldn’t, anyway?

He even dropped Spiderwebs, mang.

Pindy was too repetitive.

For anything higher end, I’d usually just do full Baal runs.

dunno about later on, but Pindleskin was one of the only mob’s that dropped everything. He was one of the few things in the whole game that dropped WF’s. Sure, he was repetitive, but you could get to him in like 5 seconds, without using maphacks, and if he had stupid retard buffs, you’d just reload and do it again. Meph was all about firewall, and staying across from his island and just burning his ass to death. Dunno how/if they fixed him after 1.10. But his drops sucked ass. There was a LOT of high level stuff he would just simply never ever drop.

ahh, i looked into it. Apparently after 1.09, they nerfed his drops:

http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Pindleskin

he used to drop literally EVERYTHING in the entire game. But even now, he’s still apparently popular. You would usually open a room, light a smoke, do a Pindle run in 5 seconds, then go over and teleport your ass to Meph in 5 seconds, burninate him, and still hopefully have time to do an Andy run, before my smoke was done, if I gave a shit. Those were the holy trinity of magic find runs, when I was playing. Andy, Meph, Pindle. Repeat

I used to do that, before Andy and Meph runs got longer.

Later, I’d usually tack the Pits on at the end.

The Pits dropped the best gcs, at a retardly frequent rate.

I was more of a char rusher as opposed to an MF runner. Bots ruined it most of the time so I would just help new players and friend’s accounts rush up.

Getting 1-90 now is so quick with bot runs… After 90’s I was able to gear up and do duo’s of the ubers with ease. Then there was nothing left so i stopped playing :{

looking forward to d3 but not sure how much ill play past 60 unless its has some godly shit.

1-90 in ubers was so fast. i still have 2 geared h dins i use to bot with. those were the days

bots help but…I dunno I’m just against tool assisted components like that. yeah to a degree it’s what one does by rushing but at least it’s a person still working for it.

What did people do for fun at the end? Like after the whole inferno/hell modes or what nots. One of my friends is a huge “rush to the end to get the best gear and sell it all” and a huge Diablo fan. He has made it clear that he will be bumrushing and potentially ignoring all the dialogue just to get to the end of the game and abuse the auction house. I know in WoW there was hardcore pvp and raids that would change with patches, but from what I have read about the history of Diablo it’s more of pvping and waiting for the next expansion.

No one waits for expansions in Diablo because there has only been one for D1 and one for D2.

It’s get to the end and hunt for items. The loot tables are bigger than any MMO because some bosses can drop any item in the game, so you can’t just run a boss a few times and get everything you need.

End game is

And in D2 getting max level actually took a lot of time, I doubt D3 will be the same. But with all the random blacksmith mods, there will be a lot of item hunting in this one. Plus, there won’t be a million bots from the start.

the first 70 or so levels weren’t that bad 71-92 you needed to do specific runs to lvl up and beyond that ONLY ubers would help to lvl up at a decent pace to 99. higest I ever had was lvl 93…

Highest I ever got too.

Basically, once my sorc and her merc could wear anything, I didn’t give a fuck.

My friend had one 99 over the 12 years we had the game and I think he did it with Throne Room runs. My highest was a 92 I think.
I did not have the patience to get to 99. It was ridiculous.

From what I read before 1-60 is supposed to be like 1-90. You obviously should be 60 and geared up really well before going into Inferno.

Is there XP loss for dying? I haven’t died yet, so I’m not sure.

When I was leveling my 93s (each iteration of the ladder, same sorc), I would shake my head irl every time I saw 95+ get merked, and lose a week.

lol Bad bad bad players.
Sure Leoric is harder with the new patch, but I still beat him at lv 8 with 2 or 3 potions.

“IM GONNA STAND THERE AND HIT HIM, OH HE IS SWINGING AT ME? IM GONNA STAND HERE AND HIT HIM”

for dying there is dying and not coming back. hardcore is where it’s at.

im outi

Lol that more or less explains how my first adventure in Diablo 1 went. Get Barb, kill some stuff, see the butcher, butcher butchers me. I tried it one more time and then went “fuck it” and got the Rogue and capped that fucker’s ass.

I opened the door as a sorcerer, cast firewall, and shut the door.
