Blizzard can never let me down… the skill system for this game is so fuckin amazing it makes me want to cry. i wonder if other developers are gonna still copy/fail wows skill trees or if they will start jacking the d3 verson now
I wasn’t going to buy D3 but I’m kind of interested because of the new auction house. I made a couple thousand dollars off the D2 market and D3 is going to make it much easier.
I think it might make it harder, actually.
Like right now I’m sitting on about $5 of stuff in D2 that I’m too lazy to go on jsp and post up for sale. If you told me I could have the game sell those items off for me in exchange for $1 - no worrying about scammers, not having to actually be there to sell the items, just post it up and forget it - I’d do it. If every other lazy asshole puts their stuff on the market, more supply eventually leads to lower prices…
It’s nice for me because I’m lazy, but if you were already selling stuff and making money I’d imagine it’s just going to piss you off with all the people who are now undercutting you and lowering your profits.
The chinks are gonna kill the market for anyone.
You just watch. Because of them supply will be +10000000000000000000%. So we know where demand will be…
Only the junk will become dirt cheap, which I never wasted time on to begin with. I have had no problems competing with Chinese and Korean farmers in other games. The only concern is if Blizz will maintain measures against auction house bots, which eliminate legit play.
I don’t know man…I feel it’ll be more trouble than it’s worth. I mean yeah 10 years ago I be there turning profits but now? eh not so much anymore…too much BS going on in these games to make it worthwhile.
Competing with the Chinese and Koreans? Do you even know who you are up against?
Can you even fathom the magnitude of slaves you have “no problem” competing against?
Hundreds and thousands of prisoners that will grind in groups of 4, day in and day out, getting their very own drops, doing whatever runs non stop with ridiculous MF?
AND YOU THINK YOU HAVE A CHANCE AT COMPETING WITH THEM ON THE MARKET?
ARE YOU RETARDED OR IGNORANT?
You guys make it sound like you were expecting to earn an income playing D3. Just accept that with farmers and bots the amount of time it’ll take for you to get a drop that’ll sell for something decent won’t even make up for the cost of your electric and ISP’s bill.
I can’t wait to bot this game
I can’t wait for the market to be flooded with botted goods, so I can get my shit for cheap after everyone else is maxed out.
Neither.
I know exactly who I have been up against, who I am up against, and who I will be up against. Competition is an understatement, I have surpassed a good deal of farmers, via legitimate methods. They are beneath me, much like the myriad of homeless adults wandering the streets for empty cans who cannot reach Bill Gates. Your inability to comprehend was expected, only several members on SRK were at a level where they could see where I stand. Do not worry, there is no need for you to understand. You are but a random to me that will perpetually cry about the economy while my wealth continues to increase.
it would be interesting if they limit the economies. Why not let asians sell amongst themselves, and north america on its own, and europe on its own?
IIRC, the rune system isn’t quite finalized yet. specifically, i don’t think blizz has announced whether or not runes will lock onto a skill once it’s socketed. nonetheless, i agree. in fact, the WOW…uh…D3 team should stop using PR happy talk phrases like “billions of possible builds” or “hard or meaningful skill choices” if they leave limitless respec in the game.
i wouldn’t worry about it. i mean, between auto-stats, auto-skills, auto-twink and free respec. the only thing a player has to think about is what to wear or buy at RMAH. best of all, no stupid weapon switch button which, according to Blizz, confused the average retarded chimp…er…Bnet player into thinking they lost their weapons and shield when they unwittingly hit the hotkey button.
They’ve said that they want people to be able to change runes at will, but are limiting it to only being able to change them in town because they didn’t want people/bots changing runes mid-battle (aka lowering the skill ceiling)
probably also why we don’t have a weapon switch button
Seems like Beta is starting:
Hell, it’s about time!
One of the major concerns of Diablo 3 : Gold farmers from other countries ruining the economy with 138234x problems. Overflooding of items, oversaturation, undercutting to mere cents, Insane uneven ratio of sellers : buyers, driving the prices way down, killing the competition in prices, etc. Basically screwing up the player-driven economy. Some people still think this is going to happen but it most likely WON"T. Allowing people from overseas to farm + sell to americans on american servers is just going to be a complete catastrophic mess & chaos. If that were to happen, floods of people would be complaining left & right to Blizzard. Don’t know how Blizzard is going to handle this situtation but they’re a great & smart company, surely they’ll come up with some kind of solution. It’s already been discussed countless times on the official D3 boards & fansites everywhere and many simple solutions have been brought up.
Region-locked servers, IP / home address verification, etc are some ideas. No offense to foreigners but to those thinking they can run a company of loot-farmers who sit on their ass all day and grind for rare uber items and sell overseas, is a huge joke. Yeah right, in their dreams. It’d be ideal for people to be in control of their own economy in whichever regions they live in. For America, Maybe they’ll break it down even more like in Diablo 2 with US west / east. Only time will tell.
TL : DR version : To those against RMAH and afraid of gold farmers from overseas causing mass problems, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about because in the end, everything will work out and solutions will be put in place. People should be more optimistic & positive about it. And if there’s still problems, people will complain on the official boards and perhaps things could change. Like Capcom, Blizzard also takes fan’s comments, questions, concerns, and suggestions into mind when creating their game.
The whole real-money & microtransactions business model is a very popular & growing trend in video games, and you can bet Blizzard’s next big future MMO : codename :Titan, is going to include a RMAH. A revolution with innovative & creative fresh ideas & business models is happening… and it’s amazing !
