:u: The Death Knight will use three runes: Blood, Frost, and Unholy. The symbols for these were released at last year’s Blizzcon and not a single one looks like anything on the Blizzard splash.
They added a Diablo 3 discussion to the Battle.net forums, but they also added a Diablo IV,V and VI forum. As well as WarCraft IV: Ghost, WarCraft V: Ghost, WarCraft VI: Ghost.
Blizzard is messing with us now.
People need to take into consideration what Blizzard must be thinking about people trying to crack the code. Obviously they can keep up with the conspiracy theorists just as well as any of us can use Google, and they like to mess with us, as evident by the Lost numbers. So it looks like Arthas, it looks like Protoss. It’s really not as fun for them(or anyone) if it’s too apparent it is D3. If it’s not shrouded in mystery, it takes away from the effect the actual announcement will have.
I know I’m started to sound like a broken record here, but how LESS hype would the opening moments of the Ryu and Ken SFIV teaser been if Capcom just came out and told everyone at Gamer’s Day they were releasing it.

Some Blizzard employees have no idea whats going on either.
Talking to a friend who works there, says that he knows about the “new project” but nothing has been said other than what we know.
They enjoy doing this because it generates talk, and helps them get hype for the new game going. Us speculating about it on internet forums is us playing straight into their hands…
this will replace the cow level in D2
now that I look at it…dammit blizzard all their stupid box art do look identical with the brooding face and glowing eye. I’m still hoping for D3…

I don’t think it’s too outrageous to hope for Diablo 3. We ARE getting Street Fighter 4 after all.
but Blizzard isn’t doing it out of obligation like Capcom (11 years worth) is. It’s more about fanservice to Diablo fans…
I know, I’m not saying it’s the same situation, just that I felt Diablo 3 seemed a lot more likely than SF4 ever did.

A friend of mine and I were discussing the most recent splash screen and I’m almost definitive about this deduction: three new games are going to be announced at the WWI.
Starcraft 2
As evident by the starry background. Also, the Protoss rune.
WotLK
The ice; pretty big giveaway. Frostmourne rune in the ice.
Diablo III
The glowing eyes. They match perfectly to Diablo’s on both the cover art of the original game and a few official pieces from the website. And of course one of the runes in the ice.
A triple announcement? OH HELL YEAH.
Penguin level would seriously pwn.

If they did that, I’d feel sorry for other gaming companies. Blizzard would literally rape the video game market. Everybody who plays games would be playing at least one of those Blizzard games.
