those people with the petition have like one good point out of them all. its that D3 has taken on warcraft features. this is true and its also true about SC2. the game looks great but i think blizzard needs to stop using the warcraft looks in the new games.
Yes, the witchdoctor is chock full o win! Man, when he shakes it’s as if he’s high off some drug. Totally cool character concept, simply amazing. The barbarian simply feels like a standard character with no real creativity- a barbarian after all.
Anywho, I’m going to play Diablo 1. Funny however, there isn’t a cd-key that I could find in my binder. I hope it will work. Rock on folks  It has been a whole week since D3 was announced and over a year and a month since SC2 was announced :lovin:
I’ll probably be on tonight. What’s your account name? Mine is *GodzillaAteMe
What’s a good communication tool to use while playing D3? Usually, when i’m playing with friends I’d rather talk via a headset/microphone rather than type. Anyone can recommend a really good one?
Also, I hope that blizz will install some good chat features for both D3 and SC2.

A CD Key is not required for Diablo 1:rock:
I ran out and bought the battle chest the day Diablo 3 was announced. It is my first time with the series and I decided to start off with vanilla Diablo 1, on floor 13 and I am loving it so far. Though when I was first starting The Butcher totally owned me.
I will start on Diablo 2/LOD when I finish 1.
Got my sorc to 74 today, luckily my gear is horrendous.
Man, i’m getting owned left and right in Diablo 1. Shit, i’m having it rough on floor 3. I’m a sorcerer, and ugh… Is there a button i can press after combat, like in diablo 2, that identifes all the treasure on the floor?
No, you have to hover your mouse over stuff to find out what it is and pick it up. I remember killing a group of monsters and hearing the sound of a ring dropping…would take forever to find it.
And the Butcher is a pain in the ass at low levels.
Some advice I got for fighting the Butcher a long time ago: Open the door to bait him, cast fire wall at the entrance and then close the door.
I remember the butcher, it whooped my ass hard and I stopped play, though I stopped because diablo 2 was coming out a couple weeks later. too bad my parents PC sucked and we had dial up at the time, everyone was playing online and I was playing by myself so I stopped again. maybe I should get the battlechest…
Haha, why are you guys playing Diablo 1 again instead of Diablo 2? I could never go back after being able to run and identify items with the ALT key in Diablo 2.
I discovered some hax to kill him also. It’s similar to getting behind a closed door and shooting through the gates to hit him with a bow. Run all the way to the stairs that leads to the next level, and circle around it and make it so that you’re on the opposite side of the stairs and he gets himself stuck, making it look as if he’s trying to go down the stairs. Then you can shoot at him with a bow until he dies! He’s stands in one place too, making it easier to hit him rather than shooting through gates where he’s walking back and forth.
I’m starting to think that a sorcerer is not the most noob friendly character. I’m seriously getting my ass kicked and can’t even beat all the enemies on floor 2! My staff charges is dropping like crazy, now it’s at 1. How do you refill the charge back up to 40+? What a shitty character…
If you are running with a sorcerer you need to forget about melee or being in close range (if that is what you are doing) almost entirely. As for refilling your staff talk to Adria the witch and she will do it for a fee. I have a level 22 warrior at the moment and I keep a healing staff around for a quick patch up when I have the time to take it out but never for combat.
That bitch has been charging me to recharge my staff… However, she never refills it back to it’s max level.
Currently playing on USEast, collecting Khalim’s body parts, if anyone wants to play.
I also have Waypoints for Acts 1 and 2, if needed.
Phew, finally got both my keys working. I guess there was a typo in my first one. So yeah, thanks for the g2buy tip, cheap D2 :woot:
It’s just like Griswold repairing weapons where they charge. The sorcerer skill to recharge a staff will always deplete the maximum number of charges per use (just like how a warrior’s skill to repair will always deplete the maximum durability), so you need to get a new staff pretty much. If you started going to Adria first rather than using the sorcerer skill, she’ll always charge it to it’s original maximum for the fee.
