Not only Dota but all wc3 custom maps, it’s just the feeling of one character being that powerful/tearing through creeps–monsters basicly melting under your spells. The speed at which you can combo spells. After playing WC3 for over half a decade, it’s just what I see; I’m not trying to say that it’s taken directly from anything. I just said Dota because all of the Barbarian’s new spells can be found in Dota.
By DoTA i think he means Diablo 2, game looks like its sticking with the same style.
As for classes, I think the Witch Doctor took the place of the Necromancer, which makes me sad. Necromancer was my shit! Get about 10 minions at a time!
But it looks like most of his skills are the Necros, Wall 'o Zombies FTW!!!

Thesix - well on the website for Blizzard, there’s already job posting for 3D artists…hell I’d apply…if my 3D modeling didn’t suck (my weakest of my creative talents…) but yeah for those who are bleh on waiting…think of it like this…with everyday that passes we’re that much closer to geting the game?

If it’s Diablo 3 I’m pretty sure it’s been influenced by Diablo 2. And as for the witch doctor there were witch doctors in D2 and they had some poison stuff I believe so it’s possible they built upon those kinds of ideas
I wonder if Blizzcon will reveal anything juicy. I’m not expecting any news on a release date for Diablo 3, but maybe Blizz will say something vague about SC2 coming out next year.

Yeah Witch Doctor is looking like a revamped Necro, same basic concept (pet/debuff) but different means of achieving it (lol pet explosion) and some new stuff (some cool CC stuff like horrify)

By the way, I’m still not sure if they’re still gonna be doing East/West Division for Bnet, since appartnley with the new franchise iterations, they’re doing a new, improved Bnet. (Which means monthly payments) But in any case, USEast over here.

Funny thing is that I just picked up playing Diablo II recently and now Diablo III is coming out. I completely missed out on all the hype when it was initially released, but I hope to be a part of this new iteration from the very beginning.
Might as well get into D2 since it will probably be awhile before D3 comes out. If the formula stays the same, it will be a very simple game to play but be extremely deep with a lot to learn if you really want to be good.
I never had a chance to get into the Diablo series…but looking at 3, I may reconsider.
Are Diablo 1 and 2 still in stores?
The battlechests are. Not sure about Diablo 1 though… I never realy played 1… It was too old school compared to 2.
