I need to correct myself. He’s not doing it “just for” those games. He’s been planning to do it for years and has been saving money to buy a fucking monster. He wants to do it In celebration of those games.
Most def an assasin or rogue type class. An archer type class (hunter/valkryie, whatever) will probably be thrown into the mix. Blizz likes to have ranged NON MAGICAL caster classes in their games. I hope they keep the druid in, and sadly it does look like the Necromancer is either gonna go the way of the dodo or have to be SERIOUSLY reworked to make it not play too much like the witch doctor. Bone Spears ftw!
Wasn’t a huge fan of Diablo 1, but I did get into part 2 mainly for the story. Diablo 3 looks fantastic! But it better be free to play online! I don’t want to have to pay to play Diablo OR Starcraft online Blizz!!!

yeah as I see it, you’ll have to have…melee guy, magic person, character who uses the dead, a ranged bow person and then whatever is a requirement. I just hope for the return of the Druid as he was my fave.
Also I will agree that I’m not going to pay a monthly fee for this game. I’m willing to shell out a bit more (like 60) at the start and not pay anymore for it. and yeah I’m down for an SRK guild. :tup:

Blizzard must be pretty stretched as far as developer talent goes.
3 massive games that require a lot of attention. I was surprised to read that it’s a 50-55 man team for D3. By today’s standards, that’s pretty small. But since Blizzard isn’t on anyone else’ schedule but their own, it doesn’t matter.
I’d like to join Galactic, if you don’t mind.

The gameplay footage looks nearly done, but unfortunately both SC2 and D3 will require meticulous gameplay balance testing.
I hope they nerf hammerdins and encourage unique, non cookie cutter character builds.

I always loved Diablo, yet I hated it at the same time when it came to PvP’ing online because of the balance issues. The game is tons of fun to play in single player or co-op, but Diablo has never been a great PvP game, but its a popular aspect of the game that I think Blizzard should address. Another thing that always bugged me is loot, sharing loot with other players was always pain and junk, especially when others used hacks like pick it and junk, that was a bunch of bullshit.
I’m glad they are keeping the classic Diablo gameplay, it looks a little more slower paced, but still frantic as ever. Barbarian looks to be pretty cool as usual, and Witch Doctor looks plain crazy.
I just hope Blizzard doesn’t make insanely overpowered items this time around, that was one of the things that destroyed the balance of Diablo II, and the economy was always shit and such. They should make players rely more on store bought gears or standard magic gears, and make the unique items actually unique, but give them some sort of drawback to using them as well.
I also agree, when this game drops, all of us US East players on SRK should huddle together and do some hardcore mobbing.

Unfortunately, if WoW is any indication, they will wreck any non-cookie-cutter builds the patch after they get discovered.
