why would ever block a tatsu? use db. strong or fierce to beat it clean.

IMO people generally don’t throw out tatsus that aren’t combo enders or reactions/psychics to fireballs. If they do like it’s been said it’s super easy to punish.

b.MP beats nonEX Stomps, as well as j.MP. His EX stomp has invincibility until he lands/hits you, so be careful of that. And it does a fair amount of damage. Dont bother Teleporting without a fireball (when should you?) as st.HK beats nearly everything. It might beat j.HP too. You should be able to slide under his Scissor Kick but dont bother trying to do so on reaction. You can grab him as soon as he recovers from his Teleport and Purple-Drill move thing (sorry cant remember name).
Also, you know when Bison does his Ultra and you block it, he lands on the other side of you (eg. he lands on the right side). Now to punsh lets say Super, do you QCF with F being right or F being left?
No such thing as a free slide + throw. The slide is free, but the throw is only free vs. dudes who don’t tech. I think you can actually just duck the purple-hand bit and d.b+Strong/Fierce his landing – at least, I’ve done it by fluke.
On another note, Fireballs are only safe from full screen if you observe that they have down-charge. Actually, even if they’re midscreen and have meter and know they’re not holding down-charge, fireballs still aren’t safe - EX scissors through the Fire, and then you’re in Bison’s lockdown.
If you’re standing at full screen and he tries a non-EX headstomp that LOOKS like it’s going to hit, don’t block! It’s NOT going to hit, it doesn’t have the range. Throw him the moment he hits the ground.
Oh, and if they’re doing that stupid “sit in the corner and DR to fake you out/build meter” thing, j.Strong them before the purple and train them to not be such a fuck.
EX-Headstops outside of the corner can be back-dashed (or just, casually-walked-back-from) and punished. And thats why you can play nasty wake-up games vs. Bison… he has no solid reversal. EX Headstomp is dealt with easily if you’ve left yourself time.
s.Short/Strong/Forward are your friends, they do a really good job of knocking Scissors/PC out of startup.
Push blocked Scissors away with s.b+Short/Forward, depending on their distance away from you. Timing is tight… so tight that I’m not even sure that it’s foolproof.
Sabin mentioned something about there being exploitable holes between blockstrings of low-shorts and scissors, but I’m not sure what he meant, and my experimentation has so far failed. Pick up the torch and let me know! Ha.

Yoga Tower the Scissor bullshit. Don’t abuse s.fierce since Bisons love to go focus fishing.
What to do against a Honda who abuses butt slams and meaty ex kara-oicho/butt slam mixups?
Buttslams are pushed back by s.b+Strong. You can cancel into Fierce Fire or Teleport after that, or just poke. If you just straight up block a buttslam, you’ll end up blocking buttslam after buttslam after buttslam… stop the madness before it starts.

you can throw oicho. just focus attack buttslam (once he flying down).
It’s really hard to hit an uppercut on a lk butt slam.
You can’t focus a meaty kara ex-butt slam.
You can’t throw meaty kara ex-oicho, but you can backdash/tower it. However, if you go for the backdash/tower you will get nailed by the ex butt stomp.
Seems to be that this is very common move against Dhalsim. I played 3 Honda’s today using the same move over and over again. I tried teleporting away from the butt slam spams but always end up next to Honda when doing so.
What is the best defense against this tactic. This seems worse than Rufus’ dive kick spam?
