Hey, check this out. I found out an easier way to get the teleport combo to work. Instead of doing b+mk to link to lp flame, I do down back+mp to lp flame. The trick is to start a hcb motion after the IAT fp connects, but when you reach db, press mp, and when you reach back, press lp. What happens is in one hcb motion, db+mp is buffered in with lp flame (you have to press mp then lp quickly) and that gives you plenty of time to do the super. This works alot more consistently than b+mk because db+mp doesn’t push back as far, same dmg and stun.
That’s been discussed many times. There are pro’s and con’s to this. The pro obviously being that it’s easier to link consistently. The cons being that during BEST execution the B+MP links MORE inconsistently against crouching characters and especially against Ryu. B+MP has a shorter reach so you also have to time the teleport more carefully after throwing a yoga fire. If the fire hits the enemy and you teleport there’s a good chance that they’ll be out of proper position to land the B+MP.
B+MP is easier, B+MK has a better reach and has a chance to hit more consistently when the skill is there.
Oh I was talking about db+mp (crouching) not standing b+mp. Never tried the combo with b+mp before. One thing that bothers me about b+mk is that if they are too far away, the lp flame won’t combo, unless I was doing something wrong. I tested the combo I posted in all areas of the screen, standing, and crouching. Works anywhere. There’s some wierd buffering in this game that allows other stuff to come out before special moves, like what I originally posted. It’s kinda hard for me to explain though.
Apparently you can combo them if they are far away. You have to press LP when the MK hits. So if you delay the LP you can apparently combo. I havent had a chance to try this out yet though. Someone found this out, but I cant remember who.
you should not pracrice the time between them…u should practic your IAT…
you are going to high to combo it…try lower teleport which means input faster the tree punches…
hey i get weirdness when trying to punish with back hp (headbutt) cancel into yoga flame. sometimes it combos correctly but most of the time it seems the flame action comes out really slowly and becomes blockable/punishable… any idea?
This has probably been posted a hundred times, but back lk, back mk, yoga flame, super is a very, very good combo when you need to use it.
The light kick comes out so fast that it’s almost sure to connect on a close opponent. It’s pretty much the BnB while standing. Yes i stole this from the japanese videos i’ve been watching. :karate:
Also a tip for connecting BnB is to practice it while not hitting the AI in training. Practice it standing. back mk, yoga flame. The timing is far less lenient when you’re connecting with air. So you’ll find when you actually go to do it against an opponent it’s a lot easier.
Any tips on doing the combos right? How do you know the correct time to input the next move? Do u know it by player animation or you count it in your mind…? lol
For me it’s understanding that the BnB doesn’t really have to be rushed out. Do the fp, hit back mk, and then go into yoga flame. Every time i’ve missed it recently has been because i tried to rush all the moves out at once. With that said if you time your IAT perfectly (just off the ground) the BnB can pretty much be done all at once.
I tried double tapping the LP but then I cant get the Super out if I do it. Or do you buffer the Super while double tapping LP? Also, how are you supposed to double tap? Because I dont think Im doing it right…but it kinda works?
Oh, and fun combo. IAT b.HP > cr.bHP > Super. You cant cancel the cr.bHP into Super but it links (I think its linking) really easily.
