Hi ho, sorry if this problem has been postet before, but i didnt found it.
ok here is the situation.
El fuerte is left… he pushes me to the right corner and then he hits me after and after with THIS moves and i didnt get any chance… studing this for hours…really no possibility to escape…
Look at this.
(From the left side, when dhalsim is cornered right)
Habanero Dash with MP (mediumpunch) + MP … so he splashed me once
again Habenero Dash and i escape with teleport, teleporting me on the left side to him… and NOW the fact… he throws me back in the corner, because my teleporting movement is to slow to do any other moves.
Again and again… splash, splash and throw. splash and throw, splash and throw, splash and throw, splash and throw--------> NO CHANCE.
1.diddnt you all test it? sliding doesnt work… he hit me.
2.jumping off doesnt work… he hit me.
3. to block this attack is a 50% percent chance. i have to decide which way to block in 0,2 sec thats to hard.
4. medium punch to hit in the air doesnt work… he hit me.
5.ex upflame didnt work.
test it you will see it
his splash is going down on me, just when im lying down the ground, when im in the first animation phases to get up… this timing is deadly.
im not a sim player but i do have knowlege in fighting him and teleport does work you just have to time it when he is about to splash you perfect… also fuerte offense=amazing so once he gets you in the corner its gonna be tough to get out, like you said about his 50/50 splash… watch the player they usually have some rythum you just have to find it and wait til he tries it for a crossup then block and teleport right out of there… you might take some good damage trying to guess right but its the only way
sorry if the first sentence didnt make sense i meant you have to teleport with perfect timing… you can use :db::d::db: to teleport also which makes it easier to do really fast
More like you don’t have gun.
The key to this match is to guess right. Fuerte’s game is just that, a guessing game. He doesn’t zone, his up close strat is pretty much mash jab till you get enough space to run or wall jump, and then it becomes his guessing game. Everything he does from the run is punishable. Don’t do anything to his EX run, everything Sim has is too slow to punish it. For full screen wall jumps try to knock him out with neutral j.mp
The best advice I’d give would be to start doing wake-up IAT’s away. You will most likely get out of the rock paper scissors situation with El-Fuerte. You’ll know you’ve escaped when you get a reversal message and you don’t get hit by the body splash, grab, or slide. The anti-air scissor kicks anti-air thingy still works on IATing away though so just be careful about that. Keep the hell away and don’t get cornered :s. All of Fuerte’s approaches are punishable, including the wall jump where you can usually just air teleport behind them and fierce punch them.
I treat chun-li like i do gief, never let them up close, and you really need to use yoga fires cautiously. Since i’m in G1 i probably got beat by her like twice and thats when I got sloppy, she’s a beast up close but so easy if you zone her out properly
To start off, don’t throw fireballs unless he’s knocked down. That’s basically a free in for fuerte. Try to zone with s.HP at max range and if he gets closer use your quicker pokes. Watch out for his wall jump, i’s quick and will stuff your normal AAs as well as j.HP and j.MP. However, j.HK intercepts its high arc well and has great priority. If he does get a knock down, which he will, since you will make mistakes, you have a bunch of options just like him to mix up. You can’t react to his mix up so just choose one and go with it. You have back dash, IAT, regular teleport, and wake up focus.
I’ve played this El.F who just stands at max range jumping all the time, then suddenly wall jumping and doing the body splash thing early. I haven’t played this match-up alot, but only thing I could come up with was jumping and doing j.HK, but it’s tedious. Any tips? Ofcourse if I have the life lead I can put up with that crap, but when I’m behind it’s hard to get in and do damage
It’s not a hard match. Zone with your fast pokes, and don’t teleport yourself into a corner. It’s also been mentioned don’t even bother with fires unless you’ve got him at full screen or knocked down.
