I enjoyed watching you D:) You need to work on your shangrila though:P Make them scared of jumping by punishing everyone of them when you have u2!
thanks simsim, same back to you. god i wont lie, i just never have been on board with u2,and after long casuals tonight i just dont know. Its not that its not a freaking sweet ultra, its just tunnel visiion for its usage really hurts my overall sim game in matches, no matter how hard i try. Back to the lab
I watched your matches Lucky, you did well. You been in that lab! good stuff. It was painful watching that Krone match. I go through that all the time at the local ranbats.
I’m not a huge fan of u2 TBH, feels like I don’t have a get off me move. Its good is some match ups tho, just never got into it.
Yeah it was! I always canget to like top 32’s, but my best was top 16 last nec. Locals are always good too, but was nice to get this, plus i have those shiny evo points
and you mean slide in general or slide underchicken wings?
I see what you mean… I’ve been suffering from this since the dawn of my sim game:P If I get a super, I might think “I want to land an anti air super”, and then I forget about the other ways I could land it! Same with Shangrila: If I play a match up I dont have 100% control over, I might get stuck with the idea to anti air ultra, and I forget to punish stuff with long recovery. The clue is to know everything about the frames on your opponents attacks and combine that with the knowledge about that characters usual gameplan: If you play against rose for example, you know she wants to absorb a fireball once in a while to build some meter, and that (as well as reflect etc) is a free ultra punish if you slide behind your fireball and are ready.
If you know what kind of situations you might expect in a match up, you can look for them and punish accordingly. I know this probably applies to all your moves, but its the way to get rid of tunnel vision:)
Edit: Btw I love how you used drills to cross under wolfkromes jumps and used db.mk! I am going to implement that in to my game! Also, that was some sick pressure in the corner at the end of the match! It was a little scary to see you use Hp flame in that sittuation, but I guess it isn’t too easy to react to for the opponent, as Hp flame is quite rarely used in a pressure string from Dhalsim. In fact pressuer strings are quite rarely used by Dhalsim players period:P
I know I’m late but I also wanted to say congrats to LuckyD for beasting at Winter Brawl. That winners match against Wolfkrone was nice, and I was really rooting for you vs. Inthul and Wolfkrone in losers. I really think Fei/Sim is a 6-4 matchup, and a bad one at that like Viper/Sim. Like 6.5-3.5.
In both of those matchups (as with Rufus, Abel, Cammy, Akuma, etc.), you literally have to chip away at their health slowly and hit them around 25 times while blocking and evading the nastiest mixups which if landed, will take 30%+ of your health in an instant. And against both of them Sim’s zoning tools are basically useless which makes landing pokes that much harder. So winning multiple sets against these characters is some Herculean shit, indeed. I don’t know how Champ makes it look so easy vs. Viper. Dude is on some whole other shit, for real.
i bought a capping device to mess around with.

Here’s the only match that I had on the Final Round 14 stream.
Justin.tv at 5:10
I got knocked into losers my first round by Popololoz… Gah… I need to learn that Ibuki matchup. I went to win like 7 in loser’s though and got 49th overall. Not terrible for a random Sim scrub in a 310 man tournament.
Ibuki’s matchup is worse than Viper/Abel IMO.
She has a lot of ways to get in, to make mixups and damaging combos.
And it also has the fact that basically no one plays her, wich makes it even harder, since, we have no idea of what can we do in this matchup.
And that EX slide than can cath a full-screen Yoga Fire on reaction is not fun
I don’t think anyone is going to feel sympathy for dhalsim players on this point.
Popolololz was telling me that once you figure it out it’s more like 5.5 in Ibuki’s favor.
Ibuki is my #2. Let me know if you guys need anything.
SCAMP top 50??? yeeeeeeee
also gratz to art for 9th in that beastly tourny

can u critque im undecided on a secondary main still
sorry its always really hard to tell sim skill when facing chars like claw, since sim is such a match up knowledg char, not a skill char. Your sim is nice and solid though, ive never actually b.rh claws dive stuff before LOLOL. Just remember, NEVERRR wake up teleport. back dash is ok…btu never tele. But it seemed like you had the jist of sim.
o and ps, sims air teleport combo, do jump fp, db mp flame super.
b.fp (the headbutt one) pushes people out far and can mess up the combo
and doing mp instead of mk is optimal as well, range is a lil better.
bfp does more dmg and is faster but maybe its situational.some guy told me bfp has more priority when i asked long ago. i know very little about sim so my opinion is lol.
BTW after bmp AA i see top japan sims go for the jump back hp or slide cmk flame mixup.
is there a shortcut for instant teleport. i usually do forward down forward upforward. seems like a hassle.
What I personally do is short slide under the claw wall dive, then rh sweep. its alot easier, no timing and you get a mix up afterwords.
try it in training mode, its kind of sick. Also if the claw gets wise and realizes he cant wall dive safely, and start diving really far away, you can short slide, then IAT (instant air teleport) at them and get a free punish
Yeah you just tiger knee it, so do teleport motion, up back, PPP/KKK
