Thx, I see this now that I watch the video more. I actually never thought of neutral jumping when Chun has ultra after she FB, I will try it out. I’m not sure what to do really when Chun has ultra.
Very impressive videos my friend. I noticed that you use standing LK->standing MK cancelled into Fire a lot to create space. I try to use that as well although I sometimes forget to throw the fire at the end. Quick question: What strength fire do you use in that situation? And is it the same fire that you use to cancel your lk slide? Just curious, thanks in advance.
And I agree that those two matchups are rough simply because of their ultra completely negating my fire tactics. I often find myself confused on how to keep some pressure on my opponents without throwing fires.
It depends if you wnt to knock youre opponnent down use hp and lp if you wnt to give him pressure note they can jump over it on reaction
I understand that. I wasn’t asking what different strengths of fires do. I was simply asking what his preference was.
I usually do lp fires, mixed in with hp fires and jump back hp for mix ups.
Well this is how i usually play the match I guess
zone chun (duh) in the start, stay within Fp range as much as u can so when you see fp you can trade/beat it out. usually if you just use like pokes (s.lk) c.lp to keep her out with anti airs (ex yoga blast is great in this) and zone right she dies VERY SLOWLY
by about 50 sec in you should have a life lead and she should have ultra. But it shouldnt hurt you, just only fb from reaction to hers. if she fbs and you didnt counter with yours thatss when you nuetral jump over the fb, trick is she can walk with her speed up to you while your floating, but if shes to far you can tele back fp to create distance and if shes right below you at the top of the jump light drill to get away. timing over is strong in this match (watch some japaneese play of this, ive seen chun sim matches go in 50 sec without any dmg lolz).
check out my sig for some vids of sabin’s dhalsim.

Decided to show a match of mine…

The more I watch it, the more I kind of am upset with my gameplay in that match. Some stuff I should have seen coming.
What also upset me is that the Chun player was using rapid-fire buttons when I watched the input display a second time around.
Chuns a bitch, i hate her. any way. nice lil ultra set up into super.
FilipinoChampRyan vs EdMa
Im pretty sure he miss his ultra…(no spoiler lol)
Yeah he screwed up the ultra for sure. Sucks, all the ed ma nut hugging was getting irritating. Wish Dhalsim won.
yeah, thanks to the game developers adding the shortcuts to make this game more newbie friendly, that’s the reason why some of us ends up teleporting during our ultra attempts. that has happened to me also and cost me a match. now im more careful on my ultras and make sure that i go neutral before pressing all 3 punches
Here is 50 minutes of Filipino Champ playing against various Nor Cal players and various characters - one of which includes Masarap (top 16 ryu player at West Coast Warzone 2009)
Snap, that Ultra would’ve won it, period.
FilipinoChamp is playing a fucking BEASTLY Sim though. Goddamn.
How many of us lost a match because of the stupid ultra/teleport ?
Sabin lost a match in japan because of that too…(sbo?, trf?)
Hope Capcom gonna fix on the next update.
To be fair, I think alot of it has to do with us having imperfect execution rather than the shortcut shit. I mean, if you do “qcf x2 + all three” perfectly, the ONLY thing you’re gonna get is an ultra. Yea, it’s harder with shortcuts because youre liable to teleport and give the game away (if you scrub out on the inputs), but life ain’t easy.
i find holding the forward motion with 3p rather then doing quick double fireball then letting go, but i do that when i wanna 100% confirm it and proper jam on all buttons,
this is a great watch even though i thaught it was a bit nooby to watch at 1st him just beating them hard, i have lernt from it, thanks alot for the video i recommend it to all, even if you dont play sim ty again
anyone know how to download the video on ustream?
i want to copy it on my psp and watch when im traveling.
