Thanks for this. I really like his style. Would have been awesome if they had gotten him to teleport directly into his stance animation when you use quick rise instead of the generic standing animation. Still good, though. I’m liking all I see of him. Walking animation is going to require a bit of getting used to, but oh well.

Is there anyone here going to Canada Cup that can record footage or gather information for the rest of us? Maybe we could compile a list of things to test for those people. I’m personally interested in the following:

] Is that standing heavy normal anti-air a crush counter? If so, are there any juggle properties to it?
[] Does the strength of button change the trajectory of his critical art?

yea that flame carpet thing seems kinda iffy…like you put down the carpet and have to keep them in the corner and on the ground basically. i guess it helps that his fireballs all go into the air.

Thats the point. Thats why all his regular fireballs are anti air based now so the opponent is forced to sit in the flame with no attack box. Its like being in Johnnys mist in Guilty Gear.

There’s not “getting hit” by the flame carpet once the initial frames have passed. It only has a hitbox and hitstun on it’s startup animation. After that you’ll constantly get white dmg as long as you’re on it, but not hitstun.

Sim is interesting now. He’s going to be neutral jumping all the time now like he is yun or something during fireball wars since he doesn’t have anything to fight with.

Or using his v skill to float over them and then maybe a fireball while in the air

Hes cool. Kinda weird to announce him in France while im having my Tomato Bisque and Baguette, but I like him.

Can you go into more detail? Like how do you feel about him vs. SF4 sim, do you feel like his fireball game is cool, do you like his buttons, does he have yoga tower, how does he float, etc?

Could you write down his movelist?

Ummm…he looks older than SFIV Sim. Normals seem to be more animated which makes them feel slower, but not sure if they’re actually slower than his IV normals or not. His buttons are cool. Like the new 45 degree HP. He has a few short ranged normals still, but not as many as IV. Nah he doesn’t have yoga tower. The devs told me they don’t want to remind people of how crappy SFIV Sim was so they removed it. Press MP+MK to float. It’s his V Skill. Makes him like ghetto MVC2 Marvel.

His moves list is mostly the same as SFIV, just the moves do different things. Except for his super which is this crazy SNK motion. Like F,B,F,HCB,UP+P. For some reason they wanted to make an exception with Dhalsim’s super as far as execution.
