So excited for my boy Sim. Finally looks fun again. I like the concept behind his new style of play for SFV. Like a nice and floaty Amane. Really interested to see people dig deeper into what you can do with the V Skill.
Also, his stage is sweet. I wonder if the elephant does anything if you end the round over there. Hopefully the music is good. The stage gives me this Tekkonkinkreet vibe.
And no one else probably cares, but I’m interested in his involvement with the story, since he doesn’t seem to have a lot of ties. If they could give an Alpha level of importance that would be great! Don’t think his tag line would be “The flame that lights the way” without him playing a role.

Sim losing his close downback kick normals is disappointing. This will hurt his teleport mixup game. Hopefully with Yoga Flames much faster startup, short slide will be able to naturally combo into it.
I’m assuming he lost his crouching punch variant moves as well. That’sfine with me because their functions were replaced, besides d/df.lp. The new st.hp low profiles like d/df.mp and st.mk (assuming it does hit low), replaces d/df.hp.
I dont do the twitter. Can someone kind enough do me a solid and ask the following questons:
Did Sim lose all crouching normal variants?
Any chainable lights?
Does the st.mk/45 degree low angled kick hit low?
Is Yoga knee/b.hk still in? Is it still a godlike AA?
Any target combos?
Can Yoga Flame be comboed into from lights and short slide?
Can EX Yoga Flame be followed up with a limb on hit like in USF4?
Air Yoga flame =O sounds awesome, did not expect that.
How does it affect the jump arc and momentum? And how much height restriction is there? Really curious to see how good Sim’s airplay is, because float to stop your jump arc AND aerial fireballs, on top of the teleports, seems really interesting.
The only footage I’ve seen of that yoga flame is the trailer one (Ex Yoga Flame > Tiger Knee Ex Yoga Flame, in the corner)

You can move during it and teleport/Yoga flame during the move.

Anyways, one other thing I want more information on is his V-Skill. How does he gain V-Gauge with it (on whiff?), start up, recovery, and options out of his V-Skill.
