you aren’t going to use the fireballs to zone. You’re going to use them for set ups. Building the super meter to use CA, is a bad idea with Dhalsim. What you want to do is use it for ex-moves
Can he keep anybody off of him is the question. His mid and close range game is too lackluster to properly zone or fight in close. Reports of air normals from Yoga Float’s lowest height restriction having little hitstun makes that a poor choice for zoning or playing in close as well.
I don’t like how the only viable way it appears for Sim to properly zone is with VT. It seems like the only truly viable gameplan Sim will be able to employ outside of VT is straight up hit and run, and limited CQ. It’s a shame because in IV he could stand his ground and zone, hit and run, limited CQ, and much better teleport mixups.
Great thing that somebody puts time and effort in making such a video! But this is not the quality I was hoping for. The button input takes to much space in screen.
Watched the WSO stream last night. Almost the only stream that I can watch because the time difference with the UK is only a hour. There was some interesting Dhalsim gameplay to be seen. I think the footage will be available on YouTube in about two days or so. But he’s still not being used as I would like to see. B+HP wasn’t used once.
There might still me better ways to use Sim than we are seeing, but I did see b+HP used a lot… but only in anticipation. It does not seem like Sim can anti air much at all on reaction, except for st.lp up close.
I did see some good use of Sim’s forward dash that I have been waiting to see, but still I need to get my hands on him so I can debunk my dehype or confirm my fears:P
