Dhalsim General Discussion

Well, I’ve seen some personal success taunting with HK drill close to the ground to get them to do stupid shit, and also playing a TINY bit of pressure here and there. I don’t think you should focus on that though. I’d just really, really focus on keeping them at arm’s length, because they’re gonna go there eventually. They want in. You want them out.

It’s hard as hell. You’ll end up exhausting all of your AA options, and you’ll end up in the corner’s a couple of times. I just rush them down the first or second round to make them think about what’s gonna happen next. People never expect rushdown Dhalsim. I need more combos, though. Sim has some combos now, right?

People have actually been kind of poking fun at me in my area for having a “rushdown” dhalsim. I personally think it’s got some merit too, especially in the twin matchup.

found safe jump with hk drill
beats evry option yun,ryu,yang,boxer…) has to offer
only problem is that its not safe on block and can be punished with jab (still trying to make it safe )

after some testing ii found out that the revrse block setup does not work vs evryone
but its still great had a lot of comebacks thanks to it if adnan tells us the 400dmg combo then it becomes really dangerous

safe jump needs to be blocked in the other direction (anywhere on the screen) like the reverse block setup

Now that there’s an official AE balance patch coming, what does Sim need to become upper mid-to-high-tier character again?

Just get SSFIV Dhalsim back and I’m fine with it.

With yun getting nerfed it’s probably all we’ll need to be good again.

I wish Capcom would give us back the Super version. The damage nerf to his HP and Super hurt quite a bit.

Just a quick update for EVO sim players that made it out of pools
Fchamp top 17(i think) and godlike matches at redemption suite(your the best right now, period)
Art went 1-2 (ithink) but beat shiro rose vs makoto in WF’s of pools, and it was a beasting too (but then ran into back to back yuns :frowning: )
Snafoo tied 25th, beat mike ross, beasted Australia in the international tourny
LuckyD: tied 45th, lost to juicebox, but beat nerosis (yang/bison)

for sim sucking ass in this game we did pretty well. I dont know anyone else but good shit guys

  • Revert back to SUPER (dmg, move properties, etc)
  • keep positive tweaks to normals that we have in AE (cr.MP, and anything else?)
  • give our drills some advantage on hit and block.

He really doesn’t need too much to be better. Man oh man do I miss 3 frames st.lk but I think it keeps him more honest at 4. He can keep his lower damage as long as they bring back damage on his specials, or vice versa or just his super, or anything. He’s a fucking pea shooter and you can make so many more mistakes against him it’s ridiculous.

Just space them right…

err according to shoryuken frames bst.lk is still 3 frames…

I honestly dont hate sim in AE, and everyone in the cast is a bitch for him
but the twins…sadclown (but any improvements are welcomed, slide cancelable on any frame rofllll)
