Quinn can die a slow painful death, cheating on latina honey Jamie over some emotionally bent chick who fucked him over.
So it turns out Vogel’s son who was never hinted at before is now the killer. Seeing how he’s reminiscent of OG Dexter in terms of efficiency I expect at least one major death from Dex’s camp. Dexter is so stupid now it hurts, but I guess that’s “love” for ya?
Next ep has to be epic. This season looks like a wash. Starting to feel the same disappointment I felt from Entourage’s last season; just doesn’t feel like what the show is known for. At all.
lol, if I were writing the show, I’d kill off Dexter and have Harrison see it, then have Deb bring him up so there is a parallel with Harry’s life bringing up Dexter. Quinn leaves nanny for Deb but she rejects him, moonlights as a porn director, manages to convince Masuka’s daughter to be his star unbeknown to Masuka. Masuka offers Quinn & Baptista rooms at his house, cue spin off series!
I think it would be incredibly ironic if the last scene of the show is actually the show’s intro that we have been watching all along… but it continues past where he smirks at the camera to reveal that he has quit his job, killed his enemies, ate breakfast and is now leaving for his new tropical life… preferably with Deb, because they are dysfunctional like that.
I’ve been re-watching this season and just wondering… why? Who’s writing this shit now? I swear, the problems this series has always had have been kicked into overdrive here:
-Plotlines we don’t give a shit about. Aside from her scene at the topless bar, does anyone really care about Masuka’s daughter? Or whether Quinn made Sergeant?
-Killing plotlines we would have given a shit about later. Hi, Zach! Goodbye, Zach!
-Love being a tumor. What’s with all the detrimental love shit in this show? That’s been around since S4 with Laguerta and Angel, but it got even dumber going forward. Christ. Hannah seems to be just a walking conduit for idiot behavior. Dexter wants to go to Argentina with a woman that has poisoned him and others before. Deb is eating food from a woman that has poisoned her, Dexter, and others before. How can anyone with even a modicum of intelligence think that’s a good idea?
And let’s not forget that godawful subplot where Debra loves Dexter as more than just a brother. That wasn’t even necessary. OK, say that plotline hadn’t been introduced, and Deb found Dex killing Travis. Would she arrest him right there and vow to put him under the jail? No. You’d still have seasons 7 and 8, because Deb and Dex have so much history together. To date, that plotline hasn’t led to ANYTHING worthwhile. On that note…
-Poor Jennifer Carpenter. This isn’t against her; I’m just saying: poor Jennifer Carpenter. Despite all the horse shit in this show, she’s been turning in a respectable performance for her character for the past season and a half. Now, they decided to put her on team Dexter right after she tried to kill him and herself. “The family that kills together…” Ugh…
I’m not even mentioning other things, like Dex “tracking” Vogel’s son by looking at him through a huge window at a restaurant, or that godawful aging software that got a facial match. These writers just don’t seem to care anymore.
I’m just pissed that this is THE LAST SEASON, and they’re still making the fuck ups I mentioned. Hannah is one that shouldn’t have even been introduced in S7, but just about everything else starts with 8. Still wasting our time with subplots that go nowhere, and making Dex so sloppy. This will be a tragic end. Just tragic.
honestly im just going through the emotions until its done, as soon as they started the “lets train this kid to be the new dexter” I lost hope (even though that isnt an issue anymore, WHICH BEGS THE QUESTION WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT?). It seems like a lot of stalling and timewasting before the endgame.
When Zach came around, I figured the idea would be to have Vogel secretly training him to take out Dexter. She was clearly showing displeasure from his relationships with Deb and Hannah and he strayed away from the path.
