holy shit, that happened?! Are the writers for seasons 5 and 6 an entirely new batch? Now I’ve got to know.
He’s trying to be the next main villain for next season, with Dex using his search engine for everything he basically has all the intel he needs to manipulate and steal ideas from his favorite serial killer.
I’m the type to let a lot of things slide, but Dex sending a video of himself to Travis was really fucking stupid on many levels. The writers seem more intent on creating drama than covering all the angles now. A far cry from season one where Dexter was methodical in every minute action he was about to take, in order to cover his tracks.
Season Finale
I think Deb will find the final tableau painting of “Devilexter” and put all the pieces together, then she’ll protect him by taking care of all the loose evidence in her own way.
It must be really interesting for recent divorcees to create feelings for each other as their respective characters, even faking intimacy must be so mentally stressing.
No way would Dexter have left that painting as it was knowing how close his colleagues were
Even with video message example, the writers can’t be that bad can they
I think I’m going to try to catch up on this show over the weekend. Think I stopped at about ep 2 or 3. Will knowing about Gellar beforehand make things even worse? It seems like they were really banking on that being shocking or something.
dont do it to yourself
remember dexter as you know it
dont turn back
Teaser for finale, anyone know what the track is called??

youre right i forgot about the fucking video message… wowww
I’ll be honest that this season started really great for me and ever since the Gellar reveal and the fact that Dexter became some super hero who never gets caught made me lose interest. There’s like 3 ep left and I don’t have the motivation to check them out.
? Dexter never saw that painting.
No this is the finale, every season has been 12 episodes
preview for tomorrow’s episode, Deb very BEEP around Dex

Ok that finale was executed well, it was actually the only episode of the season that felt like a traditional dexter episode cuz most of the rest of the season was slow awkward and had let downs. It didnt redeem the season, that much, but it was enough to warrant keeping up with the rest of the story. there wont be anymore filler and i dont think the show has turned to shit they saw it stale to draw out any season not directly involved with dexter and the shit he deals with. and by giving us that last scene, whether it was predicted or not, sets itself up nicely to finish it off.
the tableau was explained and taken care of, and dex sending the video message is explained by him knowing Travis wont turn it in cuz it would implicate both of them. Running through the halls with the axe was stupid but still that looked more like faculty only hallways no students would be there. time in the elevator may not have been real time, we saw it as a couple minutes and who knows maybe it wasnt. As far as killing that dude in the cornfield, at that moment dex didnt give a flying fuck. Shooting guns, taking a pen, all of that shit was nothing to him. If jonah didnt show remorse we mightve seen dex streaking through miami metro on crack screaming out im the bay harbor butcher bitches.
imo the biggest hole they left was the big ass cholo dude that dex tried to get in front of his house and when they socked him he dropped that big syringe i think season 3, you can just say the other cholo dudes found and kept it or he grabbed it later another time. Complaining about little holes will always leave a shitty outlook on a story. If you look you will always find them in any story. it’s just magnified here because of the scrutiny of living up to the epic ones is inevitable.
Starting the ending is the only thing that can satisfy the audience after seeing doakes, trinity and the og shit that the 1st season brought. So try and fill them in with common sense and if it’s a stretch and there’s a lot of them then yea fuck it it’s lazy writing, but most of the plot holes in dexter are pretty much covered by giving it the benefit of the doubt which arent stretches. Now they did puss out on the ice truck killers hand, a lot of that sequence shouldve been left for next season because it was a huge piece that they didnt have time for.
as long as these next 2 seasons are given a lot of thought and dont delve deep into romance drama this still can potentially turn out to be a pretty epic series on the whole cuz they’ve chosen to end it without whoring it out for multiple seasons and now is back to plain old Dexter trying to keep shit from hitting tthe fan instead of dexter days of our lives bs.
and where are the damn spoiler togglers i couldnt actually post shit cuz i dont wanna uckf it up for anyone who has to torrent or download the finale.
How the fuck did travis take harrison without Angels sister noticing SHE WAS RIGHT THERE.
Holy shit. I’m saying that not only at how garbage season 6 really was (I caught up; sorry for doubting you MaidenMasha), but the twist at the very end. It gives me hope for seasons 7 & 8, but it’s still stupid.
Dex HAD to kill Travis at a place where his sister wanted to show up to go over a crime scene? REALLY? The writers are even sucking at pulling off things I’ve always wanted to see now. Was there a reason he had to kill Travis there other than his usual theatrics (I kind of skipped around in the vid I saw)?
yeah for real he knew deb was going to be there wtf and if not that was an area already booked by the cops how did he even rationalize that the church was the place to go?
I’m seriously hoping this show patches things up in the (hopefully) last two seasons. I’m starting not to believe I once considered this show a great drama almost on the level of my favorite shows (The Shield, The Wire, Breaking Bad).
There’s already danger here. They have to stretch the fallout from this big twist over the next 2 seasons. With that in mind, it’s kind of obvious nothing too major will happen in season 7. They really need to get on their game though.
Ending was awesome, predictable but well put together (I was expecting all the people Travis killed to show up as visions watching him die). Police don’t keep it under watch 24/7, they just tape it off from the public. Deb basically said Dex needs to give it the once over so that they can clear the building, ie it’s a formality, and why she was happy for him to do it in his own time. This is probably very normal practice and no other officers need to be there.
Oh yeh Travis taking Harrison like that was BS. They didn’t reveal much about the intern, so I expect he will be back next season.
I would have liked Doakes to have turned up rather than Dexter’s brother IMO.
Awful season.
This show has jumped the shark and Colin Hanks needs to stick to comedy movies, who’s next season’s serial killer? John C Riley in some DC comics Joker-esque costume?
Thank god this show is coming to an end, it should have just ended last season before this catastrophe of predictability and ridiculous plots came about.
Eh Season 6 was really good especially since the ending of Season 5 didn’t give you much to look forward to. Also Debra didn’t say she was going to be there…she just asked HIM to take care of it. The real reason she told him to go had nothing to do with doing police work (but that’s what she told him was the reason). Obviously she wanted only him to be there so that she can go and confess her feelings. Dexter wasn’t expecting anyone to be there…
Ending of this season should have happened last season, I didn’t think they needed to drag it another season before Deb would find out.
That said, they left some loose ends when it comes to Travis but you’d be insane to call this a bad season…you people have reallllly unrealistic expectations.
Obviously the next villain is going to be Louis…probably a copycat serial killer, trying to copy Dexter.
blonde intern was best hightlight of this season.
