Kind of a meh ending, nothing really amounted from this season. Maybe Quinn will be on to Dexter’s tail a little bit in the next season. He obviously knows he killed Robocop, and tampered with the evidence so that Quinn wouldn’t be implicated. Don’t think he’s gonna become a new Doakes. If Quinn is smart he’ll just drop the whole damn thing.
Yeah I think Quinn and Dexter are square pretty much. To me they have to redeem themselves after this season.
Deb just intuitively knowing everything was so obvious for what they were going for.

Not a bad end to the season even though it was pretty tame. At least Season 6 is going to be totally fresh and not have to live up to this season that much if not at all.

If anything this entire season was Dexter trying to figure out how to deal with Rita’s death, and coming to the conclusion that he couldn’t really do anything other than accept it. It also helped him figure out if he really is human enough to have a relationship or genuinely care for another or if it was all a moot point.
The set up between Dexter / Quinn is a good lead into season 6, as is the possibility that Deb may find out about Dexter, along with Dexter POSSIBLY being rid of his dark passenger.
All in all, a good ending. Not every end of the season has to be bonkers as season 4 was.

It was a good season but last season was the best.
I didn’t like the ending of the finale…it doesn’t really give you the “i can’t wait for the next season” feeling as it seems everything has reset.
I think this was the case because they did not know if they were going to go for a 6th season or not.
Would have been funny if one of those brothers had crashed the birthday party with a machete. “Santa Muerte motherfuckers!”
Not a bad season at all. Especially compared to evertything else on TV at the moment, which is all mostly trash.

no what would of been funny was when then threw the plate in the kitchen… an when when went to console him an said that line tryin to make him understand himself an he gave her that look… scene cuts… an shes on the table…that would of been CLASSIC… out of character… but classic.
I was pleased with the finale. I was also wondering if Santa Muerte was going to come up, but nothing. This seemed like a MAJOR thing, I mean, fuck, heads being left around, how could Dexter not be the one to get even with that shit.
And, of course, the Latina cop, we could use a dirty sex scene with her.
The finale wasn’t as great compared to previous ones (Trinity, Ice Truck Killer, Miguel Prado, Lila/Doakes etc.), but it was still solid nonetheless. Jordan Chase was a more than worthy adversary.
Dexter is in Mortal Kombat 9. lol.

So if you skipped season 5 and went from the end of season 4 to the beginning of season 6, all you would miss is that Aster and Cody left (but they’re coming back so never mind), Quinn knows Dexter killed that guy, and not much else? So this season was close to pointless because Lumen left, which I’m okay with because she didn’t fit as well in the show. I thought the finale was good but I didn’t like how they cut off Jordan Chase in the middle of his sentence, but whatever. I also didn’t like how Deb didn’t find out about Lumen and Dexter, could have been this season but probably next season, what a buzzkill -.-
Random as all hell but nice.
Same here too. Even worse is that her reasoning wasn’t contrived and made perfect sense from an emotional standpoint. It was closure.
I was going to mention that the writers did leave a retarded plot hole, but I honestly don’t care that much anymore. lol

I like how nothing came up from the investigation of the camp, like the wrecked car that Dexter stole. Also Jordan Chase got told to SHUT THE FUCK UP with a knife in his foot. Good shit Dexter.

Damnit I so wanted Deb to find out, I was hoping she’d be the one that saved Dex and Lumen, that would have topped last season’s ending.
It’s good to see Raiden back, I did miss him.
Re. the car wreckage, it seemed to me that there was only one entrance to the camp since Jordon and Dex both saw the digger, so I don’t quite understand how Deb could have missed the wreckage, but then it really doesn’t matter.
Re. Quinn, next season should be interesting, I hoping Dex repeats those lines he said to Doakes “I OWN YOU…”
Is it me or was Debs insanely hot this episode, maybe because she showed more of her vulnerable side[/details]
Only thing that really annoyed me this season was how Robocop was killed off, it felt so random, I guess that because it was never planned, and Dex always has a plan.

[details=Spoiler]It think it was a proper ending and got me excited for the next season. I mean, Lumen was his first real hope to rid himself of his Dark Passenger (listening to Harry less and less in the process - causing him to often skip his otherwise meticulous planning), but she left for reasons that he really couldn’t disagree with. He was definitely hit hard by that, finally feeling that maybe things are finally going to work out and then getting that the next morning. He’s happy to have the kids back with him, as he genuinely loves children, but he wasn’t really “there” at the party. The Dark Passenger is coming back full force and Season 6 might see Dexter being ‘punished’ for trying to get rid of it. Especially from the last monologue where it went from positivity then a straight nose dive to despair…
