For some reason I’m not liking the characterization they are giving Quinn. I knew he’d become more involved in the story eventually as Doakes’ spiritual successor, but I feel pretty conflicted.
He always seemed more serious in the previous seasons, and now he’s kind of a wise guy

Great episode, I must be ill or something because I actually enjoyed the stuff going on between Baptisa and LaGuerta.
Good call on her being part of the killings, didn’t even think of that. I’m going to say it’s her brother, writers are going to draw some similarities between Deb and Dexter.
I’m not going to lie I rewound the scene where the Deb and latina cop get out of the car DAT ASS!
So far the show has been OK for me. There’s no way they will top last season and it’s probably why I’m bored so far. Latina chick looks like she’s the murderer. I hope not cause it will suck.
I hope the Latina chick isn’t involved, but history says it will be her or she knows specifically who it is. They don’t just keep “new characters” around in this show for no reason at all. Deb got a BF that turned out to be the ice truck killer. Dexter’s sponsor in season 2 turned out to be a pyromaniac. The lawyer guy in season 3 we knew was going to have to be killed eventually. And Quinn’s girlfriend in season 4 which turned out to be Trinity’s daughter.
I’m hoping that hot Latina piece of ass has nothing to do with the actual killings. She can satisfy me though by participating in some Lesbian scenes with Deb. About the only kind of relationship Deb hasn’t been involved in yet
How mind-shatteringly incredible, not to mention gut-churningly insane, would Dr. Danco have been if he had been introduced in the form of a main villain in the TV series?
Imagine “Yodelling Potato” scorching its completely deformed appearance on your television screen.
About time it started getting interesting. With only a 12 ep season, I can’t stand episodes that don’t significantly move the story along.
Did anyone else think…
Spoiler
the kill went down unreasonably poorly? I know his dad warned him not to rush it, but Dexter fucked up a little too much to me. He’s always been the master of takedowns and I don’t think past victims fought back after the needle goes in the neck. Also kind of surprised he didn’t search the dude’s house before killing him there.
In Dearly Devoted Dexter, Dr. Danco is depicted to be the book’s main villain. However, Dr. Danco isn’t just any random psycho Dexter stumbles upon. In fact, Dr. Danco shared a past with Sgt. James Doakes (who is named “Albert Doakes” in the books) during Doakes’ days of military service, and has now returned to Miami specifically to prey on former U.S. Army operatives who engaged in the Salvadoran Civil War.
What makes Dr. Danco particularly creepy and too hardcore for television? His name originates from his unique torture method of pumping his victims with sedatives, surgically removing their limbs with disturbingly precise accuracy, stripping away the victim’s genitalia and facial features and leaving them to admire his “handiwork” in a conveniently placed mirror.
For Sgt. James (Albert) Doakes, his fate is very different in the books compared to the TV series, in a way that makes Doakes’ TV departure merciful in comparison.
This isn’t the first time someone has seen Dexter kill the captor, remember a few seasons back there was that messed up couple who locked up a bunch of immigrants, Dexter delt with them together but some kid hidding saw it all. When questioned by police the kid had the sketch artist draw Jesus.
