I think the beef with Quinn is a little forced.
Doakes never trusted Dexter in the first place, and “knew” that Dexter knew too much. Just unfortunately found out at the worst possible time, about Dexter’s little "problem.
Quinn on the other hand hadn’t the slightest clue.
at the end of the last episode I was like AH FUCK NOOO DEXTER! Let’s hope that redeems himself.
In regards to Quinn, I don’t feel like it’s forced. I feel like it’s rooted in that Dexter just doesn’t like him because he’s a semi-dick. The way I see it, Dexter is somewhat of the antagonist in that beef because he doesn’t feel like dealing with more bullshit in his life on top of family, Trinity, and rackin his own kills up.
To me, the deal with Dex and Quinn is something different than Dex and Doakes. Doakes felt something was off with dex and followed him around to try to prove it.
but Dex has something over Quinn and quinn is trying anything to make sure Dex doesn’t rat him out as a dirty cop, at first he was trying to buy him off with gifts, but now that he ran into Dex at the photographer’s club, I think Quinn will try to blackmail Dex as if Dex is cheating on his wife, in order to make sure Dex doesn’t rat him out.
It’s just different enough to not feel like a repeat of doakes.
Next week can’t come soon enough. Did something about Trinity cloud Dex’s judgment with the photographer? Was he just in a hurry to get to Cody? Usually he makes sure that who he kills is 100 percent guilty. Usually they even confess on the table.
This season has been straight fire, but next week’s preview made me nervous. I’m wary about him willingly revealing himself as a killer for the 3 straight season.
Episode was fire this week.
I really gotta know where they’re gonna take Dexter storywise now. Dex kills an innocent. LaGuerta X Batista is still and will continue to go on until that shit is exposed. Everytime Quinn appears he’s closer and closer to being killed off. If Deb was to ever put together the Dexter puzzle it would all go to shit. I understand why Dexter is stalling for Trinity but just like Miguel he’s gonna get offed.
But the immediate future is quite simple. More Dex and Trinity time. More Deb kinda sorta figuring shit out. And Quinn getting us looks at fire ass titties.
I was thinking the whole ep Dex is going for this guy too quickly!
Dex is acting like this is the first time, wasn’t Dokes innocent (cant remember if he did kill that guy in cold blood).
I also thought the clash with Quinn this ep was kinda random especially since Quinn himself told the reporter to back off, he would have sided with whatever Dex said to her.
The Laguerta and Angel thing is so unnecessary especially since Laguerta isnt showing the goods in any of the sex scenes.
I hope Quinn DOES get killed off because hes wack. Like someone else said the Dex/Quinn thing is now that Dexter basically blackmailed Quinn hes basically tailing Dexter either to confront him or get something on Dexter. I don’t think he suspects Dexter is a killer like Doakes did. He also had to kill Doakes because he was threatening his survival.
Doakes wasnt innocent. He was a shoot first, ask questions later kind of cop. There was the guy that he clipped before he even reached for his gun when he was patrolling with Batista.
Dexter isnt killing Trinity because he wants to learn more about how Trinity manages to raise his family and still kill without anyone suspecting anything.
I wonder where they are going to take this Dexter killing an innocent aspect… but didnt the guy he kill fess up to him?
Maybe Dex will off himself for killing an innocent, that would be an interesting end to the series.
Even if Doakes killed that guy under the bridge before the guy reached for his own gun, Doakes knew he was a bad guy during his time with the special forces.
Didn’t the crazy pyro girl kill Doakes and NOT Dexter?
Dex had Doakes locked up in that shack. Lila turned on the gas and left him in there.
Dexter was wondering whether or not he should turn himself in if i recall. But the brit chick made that choice for him.
Yeh my bad, you guys are right about the english chick.
Maybe the photographer was in on it, or maybe this will be another lesson to learn for Dex. I highly doubt he’ll top himself
Deb is going to find out and kill Dexter herself by the end of this series -_-… This series is fucking NUTSSSS!!!

Might be a coffin for his wife or someone in the family I think(If not the whole entire family).

I don’t see any reason why Deb would kill Dexter, remember Dex saved her from being murdered by his bio brother, even if she finds out the real reason Harry died she thinks her dads an ass anyway for nailing so many witnesses/sources.
She owes Dex her life, so they can call it even (She’ll probably leave Miami/ the series).

Actually I knew Dexter was going to mess up this ep because he was simply too eager, but I thought he was going to make the mistake of choosing the wrong guy instead of the assistant, because the photographer was an asshole.
I actually don’t mind the whole Batista/LaGuerta thing, all the drama without watching a soap. Shame there’s no LaGuerta nude scene.:tdown:
Quinn has no idea what he’s getting himself into, like a rookie cop spying on the mob.
Next episode is bonkers, didn’t expect anything like that at all.
Dex acting out of character was natural given the situation. Imaginary dad however was weird this ep. Dude’s imaginary but has never pushed Dexter to do ANYTHING that contradicts his valued code. Actually as I’m writing this I realize imaginary dad is just the code personified. Which is why dude telling dex to kill trinity on a whim with a freaking ax bugged me and was the low point of the episode.
Great ep overall though.
We still don’t know why trinity was in an odd mood that day.
But the deer was killed AFTER they cut down the tree.
There is no way he could have known they were gonna kill a deer.
maybe he know that dexter is not “kyle” and something is off about him. maybe trinity even knows he’s in trouble and made a coffin for himself. I can only guess…
I’d say Trinity stresses Kyle because he knows that’s not his real name and only for that reason. He probably thinks Dexter is a troubled guy, but not that he’s after him. Then again, Trinity has showed his other side to Dexter fairly often, so he could sense something. I could see the show playing it either way, though in the end, Trinity will know who Dexter really is.
Anyway, great episode.
