You’re a sad piece of work…:shake: There is no way in hell a cartoon can compare to this. Its like me asking SRK who’s better: Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johanson and you come out of nowhere and say “Olive Oyl.”
Oh, you’re one of those people. Cartoons can’t compare to live action shows right? Something like Futurama can make you tear up and really touch you, but hey it’s just a cartoon so it doesn’t count right? I see, my bad.
Today’s episode was pretty sick, but next week’s looks so much better. Miguel is a very interesting character, and this season is going to take off in the next couple weeks i think.
Last night’s episode was indeed awesome. I loved Masuka making his big comeback and giving it to Ramon. And who was that watching Deb when she was talking to the little black kid?
Pretty sure the same guy who is cutting the skin out of all the recent murder victims.
They really are making next weeks episode look epic.
I just watched all of Season 1 yesterday and I only got 4 episode of Season 2 left.
I don’t care what anybody says to me.
Lila is the perfect girl for Dex(And for me) and Rita is just boring as shit. I fucking hate Rita with a passion. Ugly name, she has 2 kids. She’s just bleh.
Without reading any spoilers though, I can see where this is going with Lila. So I can give her an early RIP. It’s a shame because she’s fine as fuck
Just finished catching up today. The end of this past weeks episode was particularly awesome. I agree about Miguel being a very interesting character, and the preview for next week has me pumped.
So when is Miguel going to get killed by Dexter?
Every season, whoever Dexter let get close or understood him best, ended up dead. I hope this doesn’t happen with Miguel. He’s a very interesting and likable character.
There’s a fairly big spoiler floating around regarding Miguel. It’s actually almost a month old, but what it refers to hasn’t happened in the show yet so don’t read if you don’t want to know.

[details=Spoiler]Jimmy Smits Stabs Stuntman For Real In TV Scene-Gone-Wrong
2 October 2008 12:06 PM, PDT
A TV stuntman is lucky to be alive after actor Jimmy Smits stabbed him for real during a fight scene for TV show Dexter.
Smits grabbed a real knife instead of a prop knife during shooting and plunged it into action man Jeff Chase.
Chase was only saved by a piece of plastic placed over his heart - which Smits miraculously hit.
He says, "For the scene, I was bound in Saran Wrap, duct tape over my mouth. I couldn’t say a thing as I saw Jimmy grab at the knife. He picked up the real one by pure mistake. It was a mean looking knife.
"I heard fellow actor Michael C. Hall yelling at Jimmy to stop - but it was too late. I felt the thud in my chest. I didn’t have on a metal breast plate like a lot of actors do in a scene like that.
"Instead I had a piece of acrylic clear plastic about the size of a Post-it note over my heart. It was a quarter of an inch thick and not attacked. In eight out of 10 takes with the prop knife, Jimmy had missed the plastic. But by a miracle, an act of God, the knife landed at the very edge of the plastic.
“I really thought I’d been stabbed in the heart, but I didn’t have a scratch. Jimmy was devastated and couldn’t stop apologising. I told him, I felt more sorry for him than me.”[/details]
Dexter is going to tell Miguel about the other people he’s killed and his lack of emotion. Bet it.
Edit: SHIT. That spoiler makes me think Miguel might be happy if he found out. Might even… join in…
Fuck me this show is the best thing to happen to my TV in a long time.
Jimmy Smits is the man! Not for that spoiler thing though, YIKES… His character is not living past this season most likely ooooh…
Just saw episode 6, this is one of the greatest shows of all time. Jimmy Smits is a beast.
Dex was right
Spoiler
It would be too soon to show Miguel Prado something like that. Aiding and abetting is one thing, witnessing torture and disembodiment is another. Dex’s father proved that as well.
The person I’ve been suspecting all along
Spoiler
The new cop, aka the charmer. He’s somehow tied into the whole mess and is trying to cover his own tracks. However, the only way to know why he’s doing this is to get the info on what the Internal Affairs chick Yuki (she’s such a bitch but I like her face:razzy:) knows. Methinks she broke up with him for a good reason.
I notice that Michael C. Hall is a co-executive producer, seems his talents don’t only lie in acting.
The skinner might be Miguel. Maybe he’s more into this kind of justice than we all think.
I would be disappointed if Quinn was the skinner, just because it’s WAY too obvious. I mean, alarmingly obvious. It’s got to be either him or his CI. Wouldn’t it be cool if it was the Asian chick, or…That other cop lady that Batista is trying to get with?
Ohshi!
I can’t even risk saying anything without it being a
!!!
[details=Spoiler] OHSHI!!! Miguel Prado is at the point of no return, but I don’t think he’s at the defense attorney’s house to kill her, rather to confess. I mean he couldn’t be THAT stupid could he? I mean it’s just too expected. Still, it seems this is one big setup for Dexter to kill his new bestest best friend.
I think they’re focusing on the tree cutter as the new lead when it’s still Quinn IMO. His sob story about his buddy’s drug habit is only a half truth and he’s directly involved in all the dealings somehow.
lol Prado looked exactly like the unabomber when surveilling their prey.[/details]
All I have to say about ep 9 is:
DO. NOT. PISS. OFF. DEXTER!
That part was so cheesy, yet, so awesome.
I watched that part twice.
I did too!
What sucks about this event is that Dexter will definitely
…
Spoiler
become very distant next season, this betrayal was profound on many levels.
Very good show. Been watching it to make up for the H-Word on NBC that shall have no further mentioning. I watched seasons one and two in a row and I was really surprised by the level of detail they put in the characters’ actions and reactions to events. I saw all 9 episodes of seaons 3 in one sitting and I think it’s been really good thus far, though I think I liked seaons 1 and 2 a bit more (minus 70’s husband).
VERY LATE R.I.P. Sgt. Doakes.
