Whoa whoa I get hit bvy something once and that means I suck. Fuck you, you eltist ass hole. I’ve got all the DMCs on, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden:o/B/S and NGII all unde my belt on their hardest difficulties. You don’t see me telling people they suck for getting hit by something once. Fuck off you dick hole.
Wow this is fucking obnoxious. As though people aren’t capable of falling victim to really obvious shit, right? “Yeah hey you suck man look how you got hit by shit I managed to avoid! LOVE ME!” Get out of here with that nonsense. It’s one thing to express surprise about something like this, but another thing entirely to suggest he should just stop playing outright.
The first time I played Megaman 2, Metal Man beat me clean. Maybe I shouldn’t play Megaman games; they’re just not for me, clearly. But wait, I also luckily got past all the Quick Man lasers, so I must be SOME SORT OF GOD. :bluu:
I remember seeing an interview where it looked like the devs themselves how no idea how to play their own game. That’s when I decided not to buy it.
I kinda like the sword itself, but the reviews triggered every Spidey Sense I had.
To be fair, this might not have been a Ninja Theory decision. It’s entirely possible Capcom doesn’t want their proprietary engine used by an outsourced dev. All MT Framework games have been developed in-house, right?
Dr. B Framework is even better but drives normal mortals mad with its impossibly stable code base.
They should have just made a game about Lady, with her sexy heterochromia eyes.
Yet the combat is still a far cry from the typical DMC combat
You’d be fine with a DMC game playing like Heavenly Sword or Enslaved??
maybe capcom likes the unreal engine? or they’re just lazy.
capcom + outsourcing = unreal engine based game
they’re doing the same with asura’s wrath (capcom + cyberconnect2 = unreal engine based game).
I’m all for it but glad they didn’t. Just another thing Capcom would’ve said “Fuck it” and outsource to really “fuck it”.
Capcom not being lazy? When was there ever a time like that?
I’m ok with any game comp. outsourcing to pre-made engines. But Capcom has been pimping their “MT Framework” for a while now right?
…why not use that…
Hold up…
I’m “obnoxious” for teasing a guy about not being able to avoid arguebly the easiest enemy to avoid, which is all that you are suppose to do, then you use an BOSS in comparison to an lower level enemy?!!
that’s like comparing Bulma form DBZ to Jill Valentine from RE5. are you kidding me?
I’m bragging about personal ability. all I was saying is how the hell could you not avoid something that takes only one button to avoid? JUMP! that’s all you gotta do! no jump cancels, no OTG’s, no Daigo BnB skills need. Just ability to look THEN jump.
and you mad at that?!
And Inafune wants to cater to gamers like you! go cry me a river.
the whole situation isn’t that damn serious. Really. calm down. He got hit by it. big whoop.
Heavenly Sword is OK when you stop treating it as an action game and start treating it as a series of quicktime events ala heavy rain. Comparing it to NG or DMC is unfair and silly.
yes, when they outsource developement or programming another engine is used.
Get outta here with that. What is a boss, other than just an enemy with (usually) more health? Metal Man’s blades are the easiest shit in the world to avoid, but hey, us imperfect human beings sometimes get hit with shit in games we really should have dodged.
You want a “non-boss” example, as though it matters? Fine: it’s really fucking easy to avoid, in DOOM, Imp fireballs, but hey, even if it’s just one Imp with you in a room, you might just accidentally run into the slow-ass thing. Maybe it won’t happen often: hell, in my case, I’d estimate it happening about 1 in a 1000 times. But it might, and it wouldn’t mean you aren’t good at DOOM.
Is that “normal enemy example” enough? Or should I perhaps bring up the time the first Waddle Doo in Kirby Super Star hit me with his beam attack?
You’re the guy who practically jumped on Radiant for daring to succumb to human error. Take a step back, look in a mirror, and see who’s actually crying here.
That’s what I thought.
Dr. B Framework – shit, used that already. Dr. B makes me moist – FACK. Hmm…
Insurance companies won’t cover accidents covered by Dr. B, who has been dubbed a human natural disaster. Yes I know I stole that from Trigun.
but he was that complained about it.
all I did was point it out.
Jesus, shut the fuck up, Shatterstar. The guy made a comment and you told him he sucked and now you wonder why people are telling you that you’re a douche?
any other situation I would gladly say something to you but if anyone else “better known” would’ve said something that I said would not have gotten the same response. Also I mentioned that I was teasing him, not belittling him.
but if that requires you, a mod to attempt to insult me, which something you love to do on this site, when I was’nt even “harming” the guy then you really should take up on your own advice. please.
it’s because your not even focusiong on what I’m actually talking about. Do you think that enemy improves DMC. Does it make that Dante level better by being there? No it doesn’t abd THATS what I’m complaining about. I’m complaining about a shitty ass enemy design no matter how easy it is. Blood Goyles are mad easy but their still a shitty enemy type and DMC3 is blemished for having them.
Going by enslaved, NT’s rendition of U3 will probably look better than MT framework.
@ Shatterstar: Understand that tone of voice is lost on a forum, and that, from my perspective, it looked like you were nitpicking with intent to belittle. If you were just playing around and I misinterpreted, I apologize and will drop this. But seriously, use the wink smiley or something next time.
Dr. B teaches man to fish, and to convert those fish into energy so efficiently, one no longer poos.
After replaying DMC3…
DMC3 is a masterpiece pretty much never replicated ever again, DMC4 put too many limits on the combat engine and made enemies a bit too easy even on DMD…and even then Nero and Dante are pretty OP compared to bosses and regular enemies… its too easy…
Maybe expecting too much from DMC5? What was the guarantee that DMC5 would be>>> DMC4…
But at least it had a better chance of being at least good before they handed over Ninja Theory… my bets are that this game will play like God of War… and due to the developer being so vain as to make the main character in his image, he will more than likely make this game how he sees fit which is nothing like a DMC game…
And it’s running over on the Unreal Engine:sad:… sad day, sad day indeed…
Don’t play that “If it was anybody else, you wouldn’t say anything!” card. It’s bullshit. You, at least to me, and others, came off as a total douche. It’s not personal. Me being a mod has nothing to do with anything. You told a guy who sucked for no reason. You just sounded like a god damned asshole. So I said something. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.
