I kinda don’t care at this point. when gameplay drops, i’ll go from there. But at this rate, i’m waiting on Kamiya to announce Bayonetta 2.
Heh, you want him to wink at you. Maybe give you a gentle pat on the crouch whenever he says something in jest?
Yes please. Yes homo. I can be yes homo for men other than Dr. B. No homo.
ok, so you were just bitching about the concepts and redundancy of the levels. then they just through a pretty useless, but annoying monster that had no real significance to game…
No argument there. Other than that, your inconvenience humored me like if a guy you didn’t know was speaking out loud to a group of his friends about something, oh let’s say, being “tricked” by a obvious transsexual. So like a “jerk”, I teased you but any “friend” would’ve done the same thing.
Glad that’s over.
Since Toys R Us had a one day only BOGO PS3 sale @ 40% your 2nd game with a 25% on all games with a price that ended in $54.98 (the cents part only) so I lucked out and got Bayonetta brand new for $15. Other than that, Played the first four levels, and after beating DMC4 a week ago (since I just got a PS3 2 weeks ago), and just this point I think BAY is shitting on DMC3-4, but I just don’t like the Cutey-Honey-GoW-Godhand “taste” the game is leaving in my mouth. I love the battles just not the Dodge or Die mentality that can be overbearing at times. I can understand that when it comes to bosses but the lesser enemies should be more of a cakewalk. I had that same problem with Godhand.
Besides the goofy, Cutey Honey shit, if DmC could be like that (BAY) gameplay-wise then that reboot has a chance but as is and based on who is working on this I just can’t fathom such a thing.
But it will also, going by the track record, play like shit more than likely.
LOL 30FPS, they’re gonna get laughed outta the fucking trade shows if they seriously try to come with a 30FPS DMC game.
You wouldn’t know that base on the engine they’re using.
I guarantee it won’t run lower than 60 frames.
But how many other console games running on UE3 are 60 FPS? Wouldn’t 30 FPS be a reasonable expectation based upon their previous work in general, including Enslaved?
Buy the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa accessory once it’s available (it enables parrying).
…You got a time machine? No? Oh.
We can only go by what the company’s done already. And “what they’ve done” are two games with low frame rates (on the same engine they plan to do this game on), unresponsive controls and weak combat. It’s guilty until proven innocent.
man this thread still going on? i thought we all came to the agreement that DMC will be ass.
I’m using past DMC games as evidence, Capcom won’t let it run below 60 frames. The funny thing about the time machine comment is the irony there. You think this game will suck and you think the game will run lower than 60 frames having not seen it in action yet only other than a couple of target renders.
Don’t get me wrong you have every right to be worried and I am too but let them get a chance to prove themselves.
Capcom can’t disallow it if the studio they chose is incapable of producing that result. Past DMC games were made by Capcom, and ran on an engine that wasn’t retarded to get a consistent framerate for unless you were Epic Games.
Very few Unreal 3 games run the the fluidity that MT Framework does. Combine that with the fact that they already have another game with framerate issues right now and it looks bad. Real bad.
Once again, this is why I call foul:
We can’t go by “previous DMC games”…because Capcom made those. On MT Framework. We HAVE to go by Ninja Theory’s games instead (because they’re making it, not Capcom) which are all UE3, 30FPS or less, unresponsive, jerky and bland. They could do it right and not make the game suck, they could have 60FPS and a good, responsive combat system. But once again, in the land of video games it ain’t like the law, where it’s “innocent until proven guilty”. You make lame ass games in your past then you get called a lame ass developer until you prove otherwise, or “guilty until proven innocent”.
For examples, see Sonic Team and everything they’ve made in the past few years. There were one or two decent/good ones (mainly, the DS Sonic games like Sonic Rush) but the majority is horrible. So until ST gets a string of consistently good games going, they’re gonna be called lame ass.
But I’m saying NT has proven themselves to be the masters U3 going by enslaved. With that in mind I expect them to do a great job on a technical level with this game. You have every right to be concerned though, I think.
I see what you’re saying, but the Enslaved demo has the same issues Heavenly Sword had. It’s like they’ve learned nothing. It still has massive framerate drops, jumping is clunky and the combat is awful. The environments look really good, but DMC’s main draw is smooth, fast, responsive combat, which NT seems to have serious issues with delivering.
Agreed but maybe they can turn it around.
I still don’t understand all this faith in a studio that’s only done 3 games and known really for 1 at the moment.
Who says I have faith in this studio? i’m every bit as skeptical as you guys are but i don’t pretend I have a crystal ball to know whether or not this game will suck.
i have a crystal ball. it will suck, and its failure will be hilarious.
good looking out.
Well, although NT’s track record isn’t very good, MercurySteam (developers of the new Castlevania) didn’t really have a good track record either. Early reviews of the new Castlevania seem very positive, and judging by the interviews from the developers, they know what they’re doing with the franchise and respecting it.
