I didn’t think DMC4 was too horrible, story wasn’t anything special, and Nero had some interesting gameplay… Sad they dropped the ball on Dante’s though, seems like in the process of giving you three arms, three guns, and all styles at once they went out of hteir way to dumb down those as much as possible =/

I have to say when someone brings up Kratos as an example of a great character, I wince. It’s just that he does the whole angry archetype so well it’s annoying. That dude did a lot of angry shit just because he was angry, the 1st game I thought it was okay because he was a family man and wanted to repent for his family, then the next 2 games he was just angry as hell and just REVENGE 24/7. Sometimes you just want Kratos to step back and think through a problem a bit (like many times in GOW 3) instead of just smashing everything into pieces. Sometimes being extremely pissed off works in developing a character, but sometimes if it was too much its just gets tiring.
Not to say that Dante didn’t fit an archetype. He was cheesy as hell but the reasons fans like him was that he was so damn over the top he didn’t give a shit. Hell when he’s happy, he’s over the top eating pizza and riding missiles. When he’s sad that motherfucker is still over the top with LIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHTTTTTTTTT:lol:. That situation and the end of DMC3 is when he’s sad, so I don’t really see how he can be emo with only 2 situations over the span of 3 games (never played 2 so that doesn’t count I guess).
So their idea of “westernizing” Dante is to make him a recovering meth-addict? What’s next, them re-introducing Trish as a strung-out hooker with a heart of gold?
im sorry…but asians been westernizing characters since the beginning of time. big tits not natural to their race, colored hair ect…lets not pretend like they just suddenly westernized this series.

naa, i know what capcom is capable of. i do love DMC3 as well as DMC1. b ut unfornately ninja theory is developing this. and if you wanna know what they are capable of, play heavenly shit, i mean sword. unless you really believe that load of bullshit like “capcom and ninja theory is working close together” and such. knowing damn well ninja theory gonna have 80% control of this shitty game. but go ahead and have hope. i’ll be playing epic shit like ninja gaiden 3 and hopefully bayo 2 while i laugh at those foolish enough to support this POS.

Even though I still hate what they did to him character design wise I was willing to at least give the game a small glimmer of hope and wait it out. But THAT INTERVIEW left such a horrible taste in my mouth. There were so many things about that interview that rubbed me the wrong way plus the side order of arrogance.
