Some moves can only be done while looking on, how was it not very important? Beowulf without lock-on? REALLY?
2 difficulties for 2 levels
Vanilla DMC3 had the difficulties switched from the Japan version in the US. US Normal = Japan Hard, US Hard = Very Hard. SE fixed this and released in all regions.
The game is DMC lite if you want to compare it to other DMCs. Remove corridors and opening doors for linear jumping and glide platforming and hookshots. Remove lock-on and less moves per weapon. Add color coded enemies that limit your ability to style.
Famitsu gave RE6 and 39/40, other magazines have scored tie in move games higher than other DmC and other DMCs (Spider-man 2 game was freaking great though imo). Are people really going to point out reviews to say it’s good?
Is it NTs best game? Probably, the previous 3 games they made were ass.
Is it a good beat 'em up/action game? People think God of War is a good game and some didn’t think Bayo was good or enjoyable so fuck what they think is good. Bayo gave us 12 weapons, 12 accessories some which add new abilities and can change how you play, a fuck ton of replayability.
Is it a good DMC? I’m not seeing it and the demo didn’t convince me otherwise.
Hey guess what? Without lock on, it’s all the easier to target the WRONG enemy. I love it when I played the DmC demo and I ended up Angel Lifting towards another enemy I had no intention of attacking. It’s even funnier because I enemy I wanted was in the air where I happened to be but for SOME REASON since I have no lock on, Dante flew towards an enemy on the ground.
Also, anyone else play this game without using any form of evasion? I just realized that thanks to the Pull/Lift system, I don’t even have to care about keeping up with an enemy at times whereas if you played DMC3(especially as Vergil), you’d have to THINK when following up an enemy especially when the enemy can be knocked away so far with certain attacks and you gotta cross the stage fast to catch up. Which is easier because I had you know… the ability to LOCK ON.
Did I mention how much more stylish it was teleporting around the stage towards/away from enemies? Made me feel pretty boss actually. Why you so cool Vergil? Too cool for a double jump. My ninja.
Don’t even try to tell me what i do and do not like, I’ve spent PAGES backing up why this isn’t a DMC game. You wanna find out my opinion read the thread, I’m not going to say something I’ve said 100 times already.
Yea, we know, the same 3 bullshit things that didn’t make you right the first 100 times. As if, not having lock on functionality, and 30 frames less per second displayed on screen makes the game ABSOLUTELY UNRECOGNIZABLE AS DEVIL MAY CRY.
“Oh lawdy, I have to tap forward one more time to do stinger? What brand of sorcery is this?? This is not Devil May Cry, this is something completely DIFFERENT.”
Cry me a river bitch those things are important to me and others. Sorry.
I have yet to see an any enemies that look like they pose any kind of threat, AT ALL, which is the most IMPORTANT thing to me. everything in this game looks like it falls over and dies when you sneeze at it, it’s horse shit. Fuck you Shogunz it’s nice to see you haven’t bothered to actually read any of my posts either faggot.
Just tired of stupid shit heads like you who roll in and like they know how the conversations played out cuz they read the last two pages and start telling people how they should go about their business. You wanna be a part of the conversation read the thread, otherwise fuck off.
Being able to keep track of an opponent especially in a crowd with attacks that travel in one direction is in no way shape of form a bad thing. You can’t even offer a counter to that in any shape. Next you’ll bring up being able to move a camera to see your surroundings.
Freeman720 I high recommend “God Of War” to YOU.

Oh snap, your level of articulation is so impressive, it really is a wonder how I don’t find your arguments the least bit compelling. No, no, it really is.
Problem is, the lock on shit specifically. is that you still fail to explain how the absence or inclusion of features makes this “Some other game, not DMC”. This game does indeed FEEL like a DMC game. What exactly do I mean by that?
Well look at other games that have used the BASIC aspects of DMC, but don’t get the feel right.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance
God of War (any)
Lords of Shadow
etc etc etc.
All of those game feature the basic Slash-launch-airslash-othershit but don’t manage to feel much like the game it copied. DmC feels like an installment of the series proper.
You’re trying to say no lock on is like removing summon monsters from a Final Fantasy game, when really it’s more like removing Haste/Slow. Sure…it’s a curious choice and may make one or two battles more of a pain, but nobody is having this hissy fit about Final Fantasy over no haste spell.
Also, you clearly haven’t seen enough of the enemies shown. Gregaman played DMD mode at the nightclub and it looked legitimately challenging.
Should I be surprised to see double standard number 340903902?
A user with the classy name of “crotchpuncha” JUST called me a “faggot”, and I’m talking like teenage shit head? Personally I can see why companies like Capcom take giant dumps on “fans”…you people are about as smart as a box of Tampons.
