Devil May Cry!

severs for different difficulties
just a suggestion
halo does it,well halo 3 did it. you get a newb server for newbs, its an option, if you want to when you rank up enough it isn’t available to you anymore
this wouldnt exactly work, for dark souls but its possible to have different servers

Well that depends if DS2 matchmaking is as random as DS when invading. Using the RE6 example, if I didn’t filter my search and put the difficulty as anything, more time than not I would end on an easy setting, which usually meant that the invader was fucked and the invader had a huge disadvantage than a normal mode. Not to mention it’s longer to usually find a harder difficulty match. If they made separate modes not interact with each other in DS2, that would be splitting up a playerbase (not to mention it could be a logistical problem for friends. I know some people had a friend in a MMO and found out that they were on the wrong server. I can see something like that happening here if that were the case).
Just saying if they kept the difficulty the same consistent for all player for a game like DS, then all players would know what playing field they are at. Games should take advantage of things like better tutorials or even making players be better helpers. SunBro is a nice concept, if you had the means to teach someone how to better their playstyle, that would get them farther than just going in and and clearing that one boss (it already gets easy with more people summoned honestly. Even O and S were cake if you summoned). I can see the game being easier on many more people if they understood more about the game. This being From Software, I would like to see how they would innovate the social aspects of the game.

I’m sorry but this ain’t the aspect of “hardcore gamers” not wanting people in some exclusive club. Its one thing if you don’t want to exclude your audience from enjoying your product. Its another thing when you dumb down your product for the sake of gaining this “casual” crowd. As much as I’m giving DmC a fair shot, fact is NT dumbed down the product for the sake of making joe blow casual guy look awesome playing the game. Is the game fun for it? Sure and I would never rip on a company for trying to keep up with the changing audience in order to make money.
At the same time, you should still leave wiggle room for your other audience in order to appease them as well.

I’m not paying $60 for a movie.

i agree on that issue, adding a difficulty how ever i don;'t see the issue. previous dmcs had multiple difficulties that’s fine by me, but all of it being easy that i agree with you

And I love any stage with reapers in it. Watcing the Reapers stomp across Menae while Palavan burns in the backround is oh so sweet.

Am I the only one actually looking forward to this upcoming DmC game? I was completely on the fence until the demo came out and it won me over.

And just to clarify, I would greatly like to see a updated release of DMC4 or an actual sequel.

Game of the year

. . . Dante is probably going to be in people’s hearts eventually even though atm he looks like a jock-boy. As a matter of fact his attitude from the released footage looks spot on as an all powerful punk and pretty attractive.

Vergil Atm looks like a dissapointing cliche but seriously, what part of this game isn’t meant to be a cliche? Besides, this game will probably deliver Vergil well like they did Dante. A serious version of this is hard to make and wouldn’t be as attractive, and that should be taken apart of from the shit this game gets. BTW Red Devil Trigger Dante looks badass. That’s plus points.

You guys are going to kill whatever interest you guys have for this game before it even comes out.

You act li…nah you know what, someone else field this one.

Bonus points to NT if they put in oldschool Sparda son outfits.

Someone, please.

Oh wait. I’m dummy.

anyway, point still stands. THERE ISHOPE FOR LOVE!!!

I forget who it was that said the “I should’ve been the one” line was cheesy, but they probably need to be boiled in oil

So he retracted his statement about the statement he made on Dark Souls 2?

Watches full video

“What if books spontaneously combusted if you didn’t understand certain words. Or movies refuse to un-pause until passing a quiz.”

Ya’ know, I really wish that would fuckin’ happen.
So many times I’ve talked to friends about certain books, and moments we read I’d explain to him a certain point of the story I enjoyed. But the person I’m talking too barley recalls that part, as he didn’t clearly understand what was going on. Well that just sucks, cause that part of the story was the key element as to why the story unfolded the way it did.
Now, I sound like a condescending prick, explaining the meaning behind that section, all because my bubby here couldn’t fully comprehend that aspect of the story.
Problem is, this just doesn’t happen with my buddy here, but a lot of people. So bad, South Park even did an episode on people who believed the meaning about certain novels and took it too far.

To that, I say, books and movies should quiz you because had you get the questions wrong for whatever reason, then WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING/READING?!?!

BTW: No, he didn’t point out what I stated about Dark Souls 2.
The reason why fans of the series are upset is because large chance this may not be an option

TL;DL my opinion on that guy has changed after watching the full video. Before I thought he was just stupid, now I think he’s a total dumbass and should stop making videos.
7/10, made me rage.

'he said the opisite of that, he said that movies dont do that for an example

you may need to watch it again sir

I’ve never loved you more, PozerWolf

Difficulty should be directly tied to how a game presents itself, it can’t be separated from the rest of the game and evaluated. Dark/Demon Souls are hard because that’s how the universe is presented and how the pace of the game is designed, so if you make it easy it would tear down the rest of the mechanics.

DMC games should be relatively easy to start and very, very hard to master. You might run into some stumbling blocks, but they were never unfair towards the player, because Dante is way more unfair than anything he’s fighting, and the game tries to make you feel that. You should start off fighting the enemies, but you should end up fighting the score card at the end of the mission. Now they make Dante as “human” as possible as a character, and makes all the enemies easy bitchasses… It kills the whole structure of the game’s design, because what’s this game trying to accomplish?

Why are people acting like it’s 12 year olds getting their parents to call their kid’s homeroom teacher Mr. Capcom because their special snowflake got a D. NT never understood how DMC worked in the past, and Capcom probably doesn’t either.

my counter argument

i know i already posted it, but it seemed to fit what your talking about
