Devil May Cry!

But this, specifically? We already knew the DT was OG Dante, just not exactly how it came about. The symbol that Dante collected that causes his DT also shows up on his back before he ever gets the item. There’s some other type of meaning that we’re not seeing because it’s out of context.

But, conceded I’d never argue that DMC3’s DT circumstances was the most epic thing in the series (with the ensuing running down the side of the tower fucking shit up) and the DMC2 version of the DT was arguably the best designed. But the whole idea is that Dante’s white hair is indicative of him becoming more powerful and the more powerful he becomes, he can maintain that appearance.

But surely, you jest about DMC2. It’s not even in the discussion with any other game in the series.

Why does he look like he has the Rage Virus from 28 Days Later?

because the game doesn’t have an innovative bone in it’s body.

Its pretty much the opposite of Metal Gear Rising. Every time Platinum and Kojima let out more info about that game, people (as well as myself) get more and more hyped, but while Capcom releases more info on DmC, no one gets more interested and the expectations have already plateau’d.

**

While the article is specifically about DMC4, this is the general outline how every Capcom game that uses MT Framework is developed.

The giant stone head from Legends of the Hidden Temple gives Dante Devil Trigger? A step up from those shitty vacation packages he use to offer.

that title :bluu:

fuck this game.

So, DmC Dante’s “devil trigger” form stays the same regardless of what weapon he is using?

Boring.

Not gonna lie, if that statue actually WAS from Legends of the Hidden Temple, my respect meter would’ve gone up for the game.

I will say DMC2 is on part with this new DmC.

As mentioned earlier, I don’t like these type of action games, they’re not my cup of tea (I’m not a fan of the God of War games or anything like that). For some reason, DMC1 and 3 felt right with me, I don’t know why. Part 2 didn’t seem THAT shitty, but it felt like any other action game.

DmC is giving me that “any other action” game feeling, aka mediocre (as what everyone is stating). Cause of that, I’m sitting this game out but I’m actually interested in the future cut scenes from the game. Once out, I’ll youtube a play through, but the next action game I’m buying is MGR.

You’ve made me proud, son :smokin:

Father… you were watching?!

I knew one day I could make you happy.

Played the DmC demo again. The soft lock-on is a bit annoying, even if I try to direct my attacks or gunfire in a certain direction, it chooses a random enemy :frowning:
Oh yeah, and a lot of the cut scenes look really bad. They don’t feel like 60fps at all.

DMC4 PC version best version

Yeah DMC4 PC is soooo good. Pretty much my benchmark for PC ports of console games. (FROM needs to take notes for Dark Souls 2)

People shit on Capcom alot as of late especially for DmC and SFxT, but they’re pretty much the first(and only for a while) large Japanese publisher/developer to pay attention to the PC space and do it right this gen.

Harder to build with Jeanne, but yeah meter isn’t really a problem in Bayo if you’re playing well

I use Panther offset more than anything though lol

Yeah when that stage came out and people were praising it, I didn’t get it.

Like people shit on DMC4 for just being a bunch of rooms you fight in and praised DmC for its “dynamic” changing levels.

Then we’re shown stages that are literally colored boxes and one way bridges suspended over bottomless pits and people are talking about how much better it is. lol

and yeah the colors gave me flashbacks to SF4 Volcano stage. RIP colorblind users

Yeah I gotta give credit where it’s due, Capcom did PC ports right. Hell even DmC runs at 60 frames on PC.o_O

Platforming? I guess.

Yea i understand that. It’s just the level design reminds me of Sonic Adventure 2. One giant pit with big sections floating in the air because.

Its not really good platforming. :[

God that DT scene has no oomph.

Bubsy 3D had more actual platforming than DmC’s.
