What trailers have you been watching? This looks AWESOME to you? GTFO. I don’t get how people look at this and are ecstatic about it. Gameplay in progress looks like some shit from the last gen of gaming. If you think this looks awesome, Ninja Gaiden 3 and Asura must shake you to your knees.

Capcom hired Ninja Theory to get that Western appeal that the big Japanese companies have been desparate to get these days, but Ninja Theory went the wrong way with Dante, instead going more toward the bishonen body type (sans the busted face) that US gamers do not like in their protagonists.
What a shame. I really liked Devil May Cry, escpecially the 3rd one (as all Street Fighter fans do). But as the game just looks like Heavenly Sword (a very OVERATED and mediocre game) with a Dante skin, I’ll have to pass. And based on the backlash from DMC fans across the interwebs, it’s probably going to tank hard. Therefore, I wouldn’t be surpised in Capcom then buries the franchise for another 7-10 years.
How much negative feedback do they need? And the “new” DmC facebook page was originally the Devil May Cry facebook page, and all the likes carried over :shake:

well, i guess capcom saw how the west made an better castlevania than japan ever did and thought ninja theory may do that forDMC series. to bad they’re wrong. this game like dog shit.
What? LoS was the best 3D Castlevania, that’s it.
DmC looks like shit though. NT is shitty at combat systems. No idea why Capcom thought Ninja Theory would be the best choice for this project.
But, NT was probably just the cheapest.

Nope. Lament of Innocence captured everything good about Castlevania. Lords of Shadow was just another random action game.

Wait. That sounds exactly like how this will turn out.They will do a game that will look pretty and tank, Capcom will realize that DMC was fine the way it was before and look at the game that was harped on as the best and expand on it. I might be giving Capcom too much credit here.
I think you’re giving capcom too much credit. The only way they will realize the should return to the old DMC is when this game ships less units than cooking mama.

And LOS isn’t? I just up and quit playing the game right in the middle because it had nothing that made me want to keep playing. I didn’t feel rewarded for playing it at all.
The music is bland as fuck because of random orchestra #385738.
I didn’t feel compelled to learn new whip attacks because the all looked alike and I couldn’t tell the difference in damage most of the time.
The colossus battles were ass out, dick in boring and just upset me that I had to do so many of them yet they all were pretty much the same old shit.
The enemies looked so uninspired…
No map made every stage longer than it needed to be.
Everything was so expensive after a while that by the time I got what I wanted, the game was almost over.
Playing with the same two powers throughout the game got old quick.
I could go on but damn…
Lords of Shadow was done by a Spanish development team, surprise, surprise.
Bull ish. Lords of Shadow was epic all the way around story and everything…except the DLC.
I’m not gonna judge this new DMC too early…for all you guys know the game may change halfway through to the old style…kinda like how they switched with 4…but hopefully a shit ton better than how they handled that.
…I’m no DMC fanatic but I know I couldnt stand Dante’s character in 4…the overly cheeseynessnessness…maybe this Dante may bring some Depth to his character…then again maybe true fans just want the one liners and cha cha dancing (Dmc4)

But on topic, I’m not going to full on bash DMC until I see actual gameplay on it. The only thing I see wrong with his look is his hair. Dude has a bowl cut from hell.
They should’ve just brought Kamiya in to make a proper sequel to DMC instead of hiring developers who put gameplay last on their priority list.
No hope for this game. Looking forward to Asura’s Wrath and Kamiya’s next project.
No I quite liked LOS. LOI was alright, its not a bad game but there’s nothing memorable about it or anything.
