but did it change your DT?
NOPE.
but did it change your DT?
NOPE.
Your DT was different colored aura’s :]
DT only moves though, don’t remember aside from DT explosion.
The appearance of the DT changed as well in 3, but that’s in all the games, right?
well, the designs of the DT, to be more specific, but the DA’s never changed the DT’s appearance like the did in DMC1.
All 4 games DT’s have been redesign for each game.
I’m not even touching what Crapcom did in DmC.
Man I was acting like this game didn’t exist until I walked into this thread and saw the colossal ass pounding Ninja Theory is giving DmC I know for a fact I’m picking it up anyway but damn reading through all of what they have planned is just getting me upset lol.
lol I never understood why his Devil form changed game to game even with the same weapon(Rebellion)
No i doesn’t because the DT in DMC1 does everything DMC3s DT did plus more. The only thing DMC1s DT didn’t do was that incredibly broke ass DT Explosion that made DTing pointless in DMC3 99% of the time cuz just juicing out the whole meter netted you incredible damage for 0 effort.
DT in DMC1 not only gave you property boosts like in DMC3 (Moving faster, elemental damage) but they gave you completely new moves you did not have access to without DT, or they edited moves you had into new moves. Kick 13 is only one kick. DT and it becomes a 13 kick stream of death. DTing netted you Inferno and Meteor (The only way to Fry Griffon Chicken). DMC3 only did this with one Devil Arm, and they where both moves ripped off from Alastor whole sale, in DMC1. Vortex is an Alastor move. Air Raid is an Alastor move.
Then don’t fucking buy it. Don’t cave in and get it just cuz the name DMC is on the cover. Games not even being called Devil May Cry, it’s being called DmC, whatever the fuck that’s going to mean.
I can’t like that post enuff.
You’re right. I guess the real thing that’s bothering me is what’s gonna happen after this though because it’d be a damn shame if this game tanking would cause Capcom to abandon the series entirely.
I’m really wondering though, given the representation of the original DMC cast in Marvel, they obviously know people like the character, and they obviously like him the way he is if they went through such lengths to make him such a well done character; so why is it they feel the need to give it to another developer when it was fine to begin with? Just mind boggling :looney:
If this abortion is the direction Capcom intends to go with the series then I’m fine with it being buried.
I thought that too until…

I can’t find the vid of the guy killing Griffon with just Allistor/corkscrew in DMD. Shit dealt TONS of damage.
…
Man fuck this company
Gun spam gets replaced by run spam/sword spam.
Awesome.
Gun spam? Are we talking about the same DMC?
Someone was playing easy mode.
Well it’s NT’s gun spam, so no we aren’t talking about the same DMC hahahahah
Making a cooldown time is seriously just the easy, lazy way out.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again:
Capcom disbanding Clover Studios was one of the biggest mistakes they have ever done. In terms of decisions within the gaming industry, it probably has to be one of the worst, if not THE worst.
Playing Okami again recently made me further realize just how big of a mistake Capcom made. How could you let one of the most innovative, unique developers go like that? Shame on you, Capcom. Shame on you.
Now look at where you’re at… You’re shipping off your IPs to mediocre, unproven third party developers.
I consider myself a huge DMC fan but I dont think I played 1…or 2, one of the two I don’t think ive played so Im waiting for that 3 pack 360 bundle lol (/wishing)
Although Bayonetta >>>> every hack and slasher I’ve played in the past years. I personally liked DMC more, cause of Dante’s badass attitude and his style in the cutscenes and the way he beats the enemies, so I just hope they keep that in DMC** (Im glad its not 50/50 with Nero/Dante, I enjoyed the Dante levels way more). I could not care less about his looks TBH, its not like im looking at his poster every day before school (…/hides his Dante doll). Someone did reply saying he is a bit to ‘‘rebel’’ like now, but I dont think thats TO far fetched from the ol’ Dante.
As long as they dont make him like Nero. >> personality wise
But Bayonetta was just so insanely well paced, never bored. (After I finished my first run, in most other games I have every single item and acces. apart from the ones you can only get @ higher difficulties, but with Bayonetta, I seriously still had to buy ALL the accesories + missed half of the weapons) gives you a great reason to replay. But w/e Ill play the crap out of it none the less
This game isn’t DMC5, not only is it being made by a different team, it’s being made as a reboot, and they themselves are not calling it DMC5, and I know not a single fan wants to even call it DMC.
He doesn’t look like Nero at all, but he also doesn’t resemble Dante at all. It sounds like you haven’t even seen the videos of this game yet.
It’s a preference thing. If my protagonist smokes I find it hard to like them as a character. It’s a real turn off and very much an uncool factor.
Like, Solid Snake is a cool guy, yes, but if he’s at 100% cool normally, he ends up losing about 60% off his cool rating due to his smoking, which is why I prefer Raiden.
quitters on the other hand get a bonus 120% cool if they drop the habit somewhere in the middle of the game (I’ve never found a protagonist who actually does this as part of their character development. Probably haven’t looked hard enough.)
that’s probably the best thing about DmC for me. I hate young Dante, but at the same time it makes me love old Dante even more, because now I know he kicks the habit sometime between 15 and 18, which gives him that extra 120% cool on top of his already high coolness level.
Dammit Dante, why are you so cool?
Pieces of Clover went on to do other games like Bayonetta.
I’m sure Capcom didnt just shut it down for the hell of it. They made some amazing games but they werent selling like hotcakes.
