Wow, fuck this game lol. It running at 30FPS is already bad but they are doing a good job making it sound worse.
…
You can’t be serious.
If I wanted to challenge myself and the game by going guns only, I think I should be allowed. But no, NT wants you to play* this* way. I wonder if this game will play itself like Enslaved.
Mr.X, It’s made by NT. Of course it will play itself.

skip to the 20 minute mark.
DMC1 Had Devil Trigger. In fact it had a better Devil Trigger. Nay, it had the BEST Devil Trigger. I think even people who love DMC3 the most (Not myself) can admit that DMC1 has the best DT in the series.
No joke: when you said DMC1 had Devil Trigger, I pictured MvC3 Trigger Dante. Then, when you said it had a better Trigger, I pictured a buffer MvC3 Trigger Dante. Finally, at BEST, my mental picture changed into MvC3 Trigger Dante buffed up wearing a monacle, top hat, bow tie, no shirt, boxing gloves, and some sort of regal Gundam. Then I jizzed a little. True story.
What the fuck. 20 dollars for RE4HD and 20 for CVXHD? the fuck, Fake HD and charging so much.
Yes! We should get over it and not voice our opinion and buy whatever they want us to buy. Omg DmC is what we needed oh yes! Good plan sir!
…And no matter how butthurt yall are yall are still buying DmC lol.
waits for fake “not me” posts
I’ll buy it if people on SRK says it’s just like the DMC we know and love. 30 FPS, Unreal Engine, NT, Gun cool down has me sure it won’t be.
I wont get it because platinum games is a thing that exists and it makes videogames.
What Mr.X said. If everyone is saying its on par with DMC3 or even DMC4. I’ll give it a chance.
Dante isn’t going to whipe his tears because nothing’s going to be okay.
I dont know what that means. A power-up is a power up, I dont see how DMC1 had the better Devil Trigger when DMC3 had the best and most diverse set of moves.
DMC 2 expounded on devil trigger, rather. The bulk of my point remains despite you finding something to nitpick on.
So true lol, they know how to make one game at this point. And it’s NOT going to be a real DMC game unless they make some big changes to that.
I got Gamefly I don’t need to buy shit lol. And I’m really not even all that sure that I’m gonna waste my time getting it from them, either.
I won’t buy it unless Dante quits smoking half way through and becomes awesome.
i don’t see why people so hung up on characters smoking. some of the coolest videogame characters in history smoke ( solid snake for example ). but with that said, this game will be ass and i’ll laugh at anyone who buys this.
Well you said that DMC2 introduced devil trigger, it didn’t. i think he point was that the moves you got, the power increase, and just the overall boost it gave you in DMC1 was greater than in any other DMC. The sequels basically toned it down.
Actually, you guys are both right and wrong about certain things, but not about everything. Like I said before, the people who think DMC3/SE was the best DMC was because they played that game first, and most of those people are 90’s babies so most of these guys weren’t even teenagers once DMC1 came out (I was 19). It’s like getting a person opinion on cartoons from the 80’s and the guy was born in 92… come on.
DMC1, you need a Devil Arms to activate your DT and there was two styles that gave Dante different abilities and each changed his DT form appearance. Also, if you hit R3 and L3 when your DT is not active you can switch between DA’s on the fly (this actually started the groundwork for what made DMC3 so popular). Lastly, Sparda’s sword (force edge + both amulets) changed Dante’s DT appearance as well but only activated during the first two final boss fights “automatically” during a cutscene, but if you played the game as Sparda himself that DT was the same as Dante’s with the sword, and you only saw it once you activate your DT or you see his shadow in his “human form”.
In DMC2 you need the stones/gems to activate your DT, your DT did NOT change your DT’s appearance but each stone applied different things via RPG style which allowed Dante to only use those abilities if they were in place (fly, super speed, ice, fire, lightning, “quicksilver”, power+. You could change into the Sparda DT if you still have DT gauge and your like at 10% health. He actually is larger than the DMC1 version. Also, the Devil Arms in DMC2 were not really DA’s. They were just weapons that assume RPG-like attributes (normal sword/balanced, Vendetta/boost in power but slow, that other sword/ added range and speed but weak). This is what I really felt would have changed DMC2’s gameplay if the power of the stones were added to the swords as like they are in DMC1. but the stones actually “broke” the gameplay along with a maxed out rocket launcher. But you already had “Styles” in DMC2 but you didn’t have to upgrade or switch between the two. If you wanted to run along a wall then you could, shoot at two enemies at once then go right into swords, but you couldn’t block/parry just dodge via circle button whenever you wanted to. Also, this game set even more groundwork for DMC3 with switching weapons on the fly but it was only for guns. Swords and stones you had to change manually.
While in DMC3, you didn’t have a DT until after you fight Virgil the first time, but the Devil Arms did NOT change or amplify your DT but did the opposite along with your styles (trickster, swordmaster, ect.). Doppelganger was more like an added ability than anything. Nothing was changed significantly in DMC4 other than new Devil Arms and that your moves were heavily depended on red orbs but you could take them off then aply that amount to other moves where the other games you could not once you bought that ability.
As for which game had the best designed DT’s for Dante, DMC2 actually had the best, DMC1 has 2nd, DMC3 has the worst…IMO. As for which DT had the best abilities THEN DMC1 is the best. There’s really no point of ranking the rest if you read what’s above. Yea, you can mention beowulf but it’s Ifrit-light with an uppercut.
Actually, I think your DA’s did give you extra abilities like more def/faster health regen/more dmg. in DMC3
