Looks like pre-orders for the PS4 Deluxe edition aren’t available except for Gamestop at the moment
I knew all it took was a couple people posting that they would by the deluxe version, to make me regret not getting it, haha.
Overall though, I think there’ll be enough in the basement game to play with, so I’d rather git gud with what’s available first THEN grab the extra stuff.
Lock and Load is being bought after the first play through. I liked the vocals in the first Subhuman, not feeling the new singer, but in lieu of the original being a douche, it is what it is.
I like the cover of the standard edition as well. Not a fan of the cover for the deluxe version.

dude, don’t worry, you can just buy the deluxe items set as DLC once the game is out.

It was up at Best Buy last night. Maybe there was a cut off time for the pre-orders, but Game Stop is allowed to be lone longer?

It is for the XB1, not the PS4. That’s what strange about the whole thing.
For anyone that needs to play catchup before 5. They kinda gloss over #2 LOL
That’s weird. I did see that happen with the DMC HD Collection, though. They have it for Xbone but not the PS4. I wonder if the marketing deal with MS has something to do with it, or that they couldn’t keep up with demand for the PS4 version seeing as most of the base is going to be there (again).

A producer from Capcom USA did recently tweet that 2 is now after 1, so the timeline is now 3 > 1 > 2 > 4 > 5. I think it’s easy to just gloss over DMC2 since nothing significant really happens in the overarching development of the series or Dante as a character.

They fact they can shuffle it around like that and it effect nothing tells you how unimportant DMC2 is narrative wise.

Tell that to people on reddit. Some were even stating that they lost hype for the game once the timeline order was changed.
Also, it’s 3, 1,anime (or the gist of it), 2, 4, 5. The prequels DMC3 manga can probably be added before 3 as well.

The fact that it wasn’t even a Devil May Cry game for, like, 90% of its production cycle, is enough reason to dismiss it entirely.

Oh I know, but I tire of repeating myself about why DMC2 is awful so I just stuck to the topic of narrative and timeline.
Honestly doesn’t matter where they put DMC2, nothing important happened in it, as said above. Putting it Anytime after DMC3 & 1 is fine

Vergil’s DMC 4 SE is presumably some time before 3 as well. It wasn’t implicit enough that he was Nero’s dad so they had to make 2 cutscenes where he basically busts a nut and leaves.
