isnt roll canceling one of the first things u need to learn in CvS2 in order to be good?
to be good? please i learned it in like a hour like the first couple of weeks of playing CvS2. its simple. its a glitch and its gay. well yea im not the only one who thinks that. its noobish. any way good times at the tourney for you peeps. weather its accepted or not its gay. but you know what i will play. and if its is so accepted then they would have made it work with all the grooves. but it doesnt. but whatever. get some real skill and play right and not rely on some dam glitch trick. and dont get butt hurt you rc’ers. im not hating on the peeps who use it im hating the dam rc shit. hahahahah well laters.and another thing for your info. All the tourneys i ran back then were major tournaments in cali with many sponsors including capcom at one time. and the rules i used did not include rc being accepted was was agreed with all the professional players there that its was not ok. but thats why cali players are better maybe? haha jk. any who. yea see you all at the tourney. i think i would just do 3rd strike then. oh well… lates.

I am sorry my friend, but it is absolutely allowed. RC is an accepted tactic in CvS2 at all “professional” competitive events. While I do not employ it in my gameplay we must allow it to utilized. It would be the same as removing A Groove from the event because it is “cheap”. I hope you understand and am sorry if it is something that forces you to not compete.
You may not even play someone who uses it… I can set you up against some K Groove players if you want :tup:
(Kidding - no preferential seeding - just to clarify for everyone…legal disclaimer and all that)

Games ALL have their goofs - You think Cable was meant to AHVB 5x? It is what it is. Sure, it may not be something you want or use but do not let it stop you from playing - gaming would suck pretty bad if you avoided every title with a fault in it that people capitalized on…

you ran major tourneys in cali? like what? i know what goes on out there, so im not impressed if you say “you ran majors” out there. and i know all the cali og’s. they never banned rc in real tourneys. only at the beginning back in 2001 when it was new and we didnt know what to expect and wizard banned it at shgl. i know whats going on bro.

Casuals are all user provided and, other than the tourney games (CvS2, SF3, etc.) that will be running casual mandatory - peeps can bring what they want to play as long as we have the room for it (see Halo3)…
So, no… I will not have Madden there but you are most welcome to bring and have at thee. By the by… after the superpole is it not taboo to play football video games - sorta like not wearing white after labor day?

Bleghh… It looks like I’m not going to make it. I’ve had the flu all week and going to a tournament is not the way to fix it.

I was the ONLY person to ever ban roll cancelling and that was at the first SHGL tournament ever where we didnt know what we were dealing with. Ever since then it has been allowed at all major events including Evo.

yo is there gonna be the custom sticks that were at last year’s devastation with the black coated wood and what not. And if not are there gonna be ps2 to dreamcast converters (i have a ps2 stick, and am going in for marvel).
