All the complaints about repetitiveness, a “lack of content”, and all this other crap doesn’t even matter to me.

Literally all I want Bungie to change about this game right now is loot drops in Crucible. Because right now it’s fucking balls. It’s almost as if it gives the people who do worse the better gear. Which is blasphemous.

It literally rewards you for siting down in the middle of a game and doing jack shit.

I wish, i totally fucking suck on PvP and have never received shit from the loot drops

I think the people who have been playing Halo for years definitely have an advantage in the PvP of this game. Especially if you played a lot of Halo: Reach, which imo is almost exactly similar to Destiny’s PVP. Both games give you powers to fuck around with, a lot of the guns between the two games feel insanely similar (Heavy Machine Gun = SAW, anyone? Shotgun = every Halo shotgun ever, anyone?), movement feels extremely similar, there’s a lot of familiar reticle shapes…

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by PVP, you could try your hand at Skrimish. That’s a pretty good playlist for newcomers. It’s small-scale team combat, with a mix of objective every now and then iirc. I know that’s where I spent most of my time trying to get a feel for the multiplayer in this game.

It’s also important to note that 95% of the time you’re gonna want to aim for the head. If you’re running into a lot of enemies who manage to kill you first (even though you both start shooting at the same time), it’s probably because every one of his bullets went for your skull. The exception to this rule of “always aim for the head” is if they’ve already lost their shields, or you’re shooting someone in the back.

Keep the shards. Flush the other stuff.

I’m looking to jump into the raid with anyone trying to hit it tonight. I’ll probably stay on from 7 to 10. If you’re trying to run it, titan here.

…And I must get the other two classes and level up. Also, I need good PVP gear, but I hate getting shot up to get it. meh…

so apparently, on the bungie forums, there’s a way for warlocks to just use supers to knock raid boss Atheon off his platform and into a pit

it seems time is no match for gravity

I was playing mainly off the Strike playlist yesterday and I was getting decent gear/engrams after every mission. Nothing crazy but you get loads of Weapon parts and can level up the Cryptarch really fast.

You know I’m going to ask did you finish it on your other character. Is at least shorter than the last one?

Quite a bit shorter, you have to kill him within the first minute or so or you get swarmed by Adds you can do nothing about.

Iron banner is kind of a dud. Doesn’t feel any different than normal crucible. You don’t get any rep from a loss, so there’s tons of rage quitting. Iron Banner gear has the same stats as normal legendary gear, so it’s just for aesthetics. There’s only one armor piece for the hunter. Only plus is Iron Banner gear only cost 10 marks, but you have to grind to Rank 3, and you get no rep from losses.

something weird happened to me in iron banner, i was playing for a little bit, and then on my last game i noticed that i didnt get any iron banner rep from completing the match, but i did get crucible rep.

i dont know when it happened, but i think it put me into regular crucible matches from iron banner without any warning. not sure if there is a level restriction or not, but there was a level 8 guy running around in the last few matches.

i really hope this isnt the case and that i was just mistaken.

Just got a new exotic sniper rifle after an Iron banner match.

I am swimming in Exotics. I almost feel bad considering one of main complaints about the game.

I know I’m late to the party (no internet for a few days) but I must say:

Anybody in this community complaining about doing the same thing over and over is hilarious.

I would love to hear how this shit compares to fighting games.

I’ll wait.

The only thing comparable is the PvP, and that’s not what we’re talking about when we complain about repetitiveness.

The idea of of fighting gamers complaining about repetition, s’all.

if you score worse than me, you suck. Until then, you have hope.

I don’t know about others, but the crucible hates me. Out of the times I have gone in, I only got the big chief earlier yesterday. Tried Nightfall earlier and got clowned by the fact that NONE of my fucking weapons had arc damage (You can probably guess which type of burn came up tonight. :bluu: ) That’s okay though. Gonna put it on 'em and SOON.

EDIT: I should’ve said void damage earlier. purple, not blue.

The Nightfall Strike has burn of every kind Lol. Holy shit is it hard.

The last part is hard as fuck.

damn that atheon exploit is fucking awesome. i need to find some way to try it. has anyone else given it a go? is it easy to pull off?

Where’s the elaboration?

You know as well as I do that multiplayer adds a whole new dynamic to a game. You can be “doing the same thing,” but the fact that you’re playing against various human opponents creates unique experiences every time. That is NOT the same as Destiny’s cut and paste mission design, being forced to replay the same missions and locations with the same spawn patterns every time.
