The “Me” generation ladies and gents. Where people whine and whine until they get what they want because they cannot work for it.

*won’t work for it because they might as well be kids in adult bodies
Fixed.

come on guys dont act like you wouldnt be fucking pissed off as fuck if you spent 6+ hours in a raid and got something you couldve gotten from doing a couple of daily missions or whatever. i know i would be pretty fucking annoyed.

i think ive spent like 6 hours in the vault of glass so far and havent beaten aetheon yet. dont know if i ever will at this rate.

on the flip side though i did just get suros regime from a legendary engram, exactly the weapon ive been wanting since i couldnt afford it when it was on sale on the weekend.

I remember in L2 had to do a raid 7 times to get a fucking ring. Those raids lasted 2-6 hours. Do you think I cared?, nah. I played.

If there was something worth working for, I’d agree.

You guys are on some bullshit if you don’t think the entire game is you doing the same shit over and over.

good for you, have a medal.

The thing that saves this game a little is it’s shooting mechanics. I mean it’s really responsive I usually don’t like playing on pad either. If the PvP had been normalized and all you can change is cosmetic I might have thought it was ok. That being said it didn’t and it isn’t. I don’t need to repeat what was already said but if someone is on the fence don’t buy this shit. Buy the GOTY edition with all the DLC in a year to get a finished game. Fuck that phoned in performance by Dinkleage.

Iron Banner is here, already finished Nightfall for the week.

For a lot of you, your comments really make it seem like this is your first MMO-esque game. Some of you are basically describing an archetype of gaming that has existed for years, and that a myriad of people enjoy enough to pay a monthly fee for it in most cases.

It’s not for everyone, and again I’m not trying to plug my ears and be like, “Your opinion is wrong, lalalalala”, but you have to understand that a lot of what you think are flaws are actually the appeal to lots of people. Especially random loot, faction grinds, etc. People love that stuff.

I managed to get the Queen’s Wrath missions down and get a helmet and a chest piece, not sure if there was more gear in there or not, but it’s too late to worry about that now, I guess. I should be 25 by tonight, at about 20 hours in.

@Rampage‌ Just because people have paid for it in the past doesn’t make it right. Doing the same few quests over and over make for a boring game. Most of the replay value is in Crucible and Strikes, but that’s about it. I understand that some people like that sort of thing, but I feel we were promised more.

The Destiny servers will be down for several hours starting at 7am PST

Iron Crucible starts today and lasts until Oct 14th

Combine that with the general FPS crowd who more than likely are not used to MMO system mechanics and yea…

I love this game. I have absolutely no complaints about it at all. I bought a PS4 bundle to get it and have no regrets. Looking forward to blasting fuckers for a long time.

But isn’t that what we do when we play fighting games?

Im like a crackhead.

Its been 5 minutes. When the fuck is the maintenance over dammit.

Guess i can go buy shadow of morridor now

Again, some people really like what Destiny offers. It has nothing to do with it being “not right” - that is *completely *subjective. There is nothing objectively “wrong” about it. Not your cup of tea? That’s another story altogether, and completely valid, however your opinion doesn’t affect whether or not I have fun doing instances for random drops with a group of friends. That is an activity that some people enjoy. What some in here are describing as a negative is actually the majority of the appeal for others.

What’s important to me is that I’m having fun with it so far (about 20 hours in). I feel like I am getting my money’s worth. When I spend $60 on a 10-hour story, I’m happy so long as the story is good enough. When I spend $60 on a 5-hour, disposable story, but with 96 hours of potential gameplay afterwards, I’m happy so long as the gameplay is good enough. It’s not a perfect game by any stretch of the imagination, and I don’t think anybody is making it out to be. I wouldn’t even call it a “great” game, it’s only just good. 7/10 is a fair score that I can agree with. I just think some of you were hoping it was something it isn’t, and with the public beta showing exactly what the game involves, I honestly find it hard to feel sympathy for anyone that had the opportunity to get a taste of what the game offered before buying it, yet still paid for the game and is now unhappy.

It’s really as simple as, “it’s not for everyone”, like any MMORPG since the inception of the genre.
