Destiny - Videogame Thread + SRK Clan SignUp

Good info.

To add on that, do the Challenge of the elders with 3ofC to farm exotics out of the bosses.

Dang already?

Is a well know fact that destiny 2 will come next year around september.
one thing for sure is that if the rummor that caharacters and/or loot don’t carry over, they will lose a huge amount of their player base.

I don’t know what the big deal about a fresh start is. I get people might be miffed over the investment put in so far, but Destiny’s only been getting better and better since the less-than-stellar launch a few years ago. I think a clean slate would do this franchise good.

How are people liking Supremacy? Lots of…shotguns…fusing is pretty easy in chokepoints, but you can only evade so many Matadors before someone denies all those crests you’ve accumulated. D:

I wouldn’t mind a fresh start. It’s not like they give us anything to be attached to with these avatars. We don’t even name them. If we could keep old weapons as relics of some sort - that’d be welcome.

Yea a little more character personalization would be a welxome change. It doesn’t have to be full on mmo RPG but. Damn, names would be nice.

Other than that I don’t mind fresh start as long as 2 picks up where 1 leaves of gameplay wise.

Def not trying to fresh start if it’s reminiscent of Vanilla Destiny at launch. Fuck that.

Yeah fuck that quest. The one for Touch of Malice was lengthy enough.

D2 having a D1 launch is almost unthinkable. I’m all about the numbers game and knowing that, mathematically, the launch being a dud is totally possible but not very likely, but failing twice at something so massive is an error I would even be surprised at Capcom making. I am comfortable, for the first time in almost five years, having real hype for a game release.

I just think it’s a shame that some people (not necessarily anyone here) hear D2 and immediately construct all these rules for what they feel should “carry over” and it’s like, man…if this franchise is going to live up to even a fraction of its original dream, we can’t be tied to things like Grimoire and emblems and all this stuff that honestly doesn’t matter. Just let me travel somewhere in a dope ass spaceship (if it’s not the one I have now, it better be a fkin SPACE CADILLAC) and use some tricked out weaponry to pop aliens in the face! In the end, Destiny has done a great job of making me feel legendary, but I think the last piece that’s missing is making me feel like my character is really impacting my part of the universe.

Something like this is what Warcraft has done okay at over the years and I completely understand and sympathize with the limitations of a console FPS in this regard. Still, I think it’s a core issue this franchise needs to really get to the next level. Bungie is the king of fantasy gunplay right now and I doubt they’re interested in shaking that up. Complain about the subclasses or the gun perks or what have you–that’s fine–but the feel of firing a weapon in a Bungie game, Destiny in particular, has no equal in my book. If they can somehow get a hold of the creative energy they need to make an engaging console universe, even if it’s somewhere out in some other galaxy, they can truly have this game take to new heights.

The mistake Bungie made (and I’ve said this from the jump) is that they wanted to make an MMO w/o making an MMO. It’s a game that contains all the core features of an MMO, w/o the last 20% to actually make it an MMO. The fact that they had to support last gen systems didn’t help the matter either.

The crazy thing is populated areas would’ve done so much for this game.

Not sure if this was mentioned but the DIM Destiny Item Manager with chrome extension is a pretty neat tool:

Are we still complaining about shotguns, specially after all the nerfs that have made them almost useless?

Really?

Also, a clean start would be a bad idea, no one likes when all their effort is for nothing.
They can revamp the game and still bring most if not all the stuff that we already have. Otherwise, like i said, they will very likely end losing a lot of costumers, and even potential costumers i would bet, since no one would want to deal with a game that simply says fuck you, your time and effort means nothing.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind either way. As long as I can body Titans in PvP I’m good. Just off the strength of PvP alone I know I can get everything I need lol.

That takes most of my game time in destiny. I still have mad missions from Eris and Cayde to finish. On top of the new rise of iron missions. I’ll prob work on those today actually

Edit: well…destiny is down for maintenance…so there goes that. By the time it comes back up I’ll have to get ready to get some sleep prob. Hopefully in wrong tho

Hahahaha.

I think you’re reading between the lines there. Supremacy is just home to lots of shotguns. Max range Matador is also back in rotation. It’s less of a complaint than you’re expecting. I feel I need to correct your suggestion though; shotguns are far from useless and considered the standard special weapon at several levels of play.

As far as PvP goes, shotguns are the golden standard for special weapons.

Oh! Archon’s Forge offerings fixed! Oh baby, time to get back in there!

Is Archon Forge solo-able? I noticed one of the events is pretty hard where the enemies are pretty stacked.

I’ve been doing strikes non-stop to level up. Seems to be the way to go. And loot from Nightfall, is always useful.

You could probably solo fused offerings at 350-360 LL and maybe enhanced offerings at 380-ish? I don’t think you can solo perfected offerings unless you get a perfected Dreg. Perfected offerings can legit be difficult.

I did one with shanks and got bodied. Tried to do it solo smh. A big mistake. Especially since I’m at 347 light
