I haven’t been in crucible yet- been doing mostly pve stuff. Do people not use snipers as much?
I’ve found I really like the Telesto for pvp. At worst it will trade, but you can get several multi kills per match with it.
I use pulse and snipers exclusively. IMO best combo. Been running them since vanilla. They’re just too versatile… especially after the shotgun and auto rifle nerfs.
I might start using sidearms tho…they seem kinda OP. You get nice ammo capacity too. But I’ll see how good they’re in PvP soon enough
Yeah, I didn’t know people were trying to solo Forge encounters lol please do not do that, you will not have a good time. They’re more fun with strangers, anyway. As a tip, you are more likely to get matchmade into a Forge instance with players already in it if you slowly walk through the hall and up the stairs to the Forge instead of running. This gives the game time to matchmake you instead of creating an instance with just yourself inside.
People still snipe, but because sniping is now a little harder, many people at the more intermediate levels have turned to the shotgun+melee combo. Top level players as I understand them have been mostly turned off sniping for a while; I think they feel sniper rifles cannot keep up with the pace of play used in the old sweat/scrimmage style of matches.
It’s not like sniping is bad, but it has gone out of style, so to speak. Having a sniper on your team will almost never drag you down unless they just aren’t hitting their shots.

I’ve been using the sidearm from iron banner: ironwreath-d. smooth as shit and has a silencer on it…BUT you better be good at head shots or youre gonna eat a lot of lead. Finally replaced Monte Carlo with Hex Caster ARC
Been meaning to ask this: Any Exotic auto rifle that has a decent Impact?

Also a tip for all my Khvostov user out there: if you equip the 900 RPM perk & then switch back to 450 RPM, you’ll keep the high mag size.
Just remember to reload first once you selected the 900 RPM perk
I used to hate the Monte Carlo but I’m finding myself using it a lot in PvP. Zhalo is still nice in PvE when you got a horde coming after you.

Farm exotics and crush them down. One of the best places I’ve seen for that is the Iron Tomb. pop the coin(s), kill two out of three bosses, rinse, lather, repeat. Warning: those fuckers have been EXTREMLY stingy with the gold goods though. I named it because you can solo it and use it for this purpose without much worry.
Finally got into the raid itself early Saturday morn. Just…Well, you know how Destiny raids go, and this one is no different. Thou shalt grind. and grind. and grind. Sooner or later, you’ll meet the boss.
…And grind. Putting in so much work I name this shit on my W-2.
