Also, what do you guys think is a good way to get Glimmer?

I got lucky. And do a strike mission and use something that boosts the Glimmer enemies drop.

Glimmer is easily got just doing missions, I got all my light armor doing the Crucible matches of the day.

i tried that farming spot and after about 30 mins of doing it and only having maybe 3 greens and 1 blue i got bored and just left.

if you dont mind the monotony its ok i guess. the guy in the vid must have been at it a long time to get all those drops. i ended up getting other players drawing higher level mobs spoiling my little private area i had going lol.

I got this Rare Scout Rifle called Naraka SR5. I fucking love it so far. I got confused the first time I whipped out because in a first person view it looks like a sniper rifle.

Played a ton of crucibles. Love domination…a few things tho.

The shotgun is stupid. It has far too much range. I shouldn’t die one hit mid range. Also throwing knife should be an instakill. You should also be able to hold it instead of it being releasing on press. Also it should have a different button trigger than melee…so annoying throwing a knife when I’m fighting multiple ppl close range

Free for all is pretty retarded too… The maps aren’t really designed for such a mode IMO. It basically turns into “who can steal more kills?”

All that said its def fun. Starts off really slow…was tempted to drop it until I unlocked crucibles.

I’m a lvl 16 Blademaster now. Still unlocking Ll the techs so its as strong as my Hunter.

Oh and I use Scout and Sniper Rifles. Everything else is uncivilized.

I dont really think it is. Legal reasons aside, it just doesnt seem like that’s possible.

The way I see it is that it’s a universe Bungie as the creator own. Halo is a specific point in human history, that part of the universe is sold off to MS (or more specifically MS own Master Chief), Halo and Destiny can be two out of a billion other stories that take place within this universe. It must have been conscious decision to stick to the same art style. If you follow the Halo story, it’s literally all about ‘destiny’ as well. It would not surprise me if the giant orb thing turns out to be Forerunner technology.

I’m level 11. I did the level 8 strike mission last night.

Holy shit, what is it with people not even being aware of whats going on in the game? The first time I tried it at level 9, it took 10 minutes for my other 2 party members to even find the entrance, they were too busy going around shooting random enemies… Did you not join a Strike Mission to do the damn fight? Ended up trying to 2 man it and dying, then the other dude left.

So I go back at level 11, and try it again. Literally, one of my party members didnt make it to the mission until we were in the middle of clearing the third raid. Thats how long it took him to fight enemies and make it into the base. Fucking hell.

And he spent half the fights going afk.

Anyway leveling slowed quite a bit. Im just shy of level 12; I did get a blue helmet though which is nice. I feel underleveled for doing story missions, I dont really care for PVP, and the bounties Im stuck with suck ass. Need to get over this mid game hump.

LOL I just realize what you were talking about. I think people can get lost. I think there should be a bunch of functions for team lead like “Move your fucking ass to the waypoint” to pop up on their screen.

It lives up to most of the hype, to be honest. I’m really enjoying it. It takes the MMO aspect and does it pretty well. You can solo everything, but it’s much more enjoyable with friends. Nothing earned feels like a waste of space unless you strictly don’t use it at all. I carry at least one of each class of weapon and only dismantle them if I have a stronger version (armor too) but some things have bonus effects that make you want to keep all your shit, since you don’t know when you’ll need your grenades to help refill your melee power (for example). The only unbalanced aspect is the PVP, but I’m sure they’re gonna fix that.
I may not be online tonight due to my internet being out. It’s been out for almost an entire day now, and I yelled at the company about it.
I’m just more mad that I missed 4-5 solid hours of grinding. I was about to go to Venus!

I haven’t hit 20 yet, so not much I can say, lol. Still fucking 13 or 14 I think. Got 4 days off though, so I will hit 20 soon.

The game is a blast with a party, still fun but challenging solo. Great fights, if you’re a fan of FPS games. The loot system is interesting so far, I cant wait for 20 to see what it is like, with raids and factions and such.

I got fucked up doing it with a Level 22 and 20 hunters. I’m a Level 20 Warlock the fights were literally taking potshots at dudes and dying whenever I did my super or threw my grenade.

Also my bro was wondering why I was frustrated/bored and when I told him that this wasn’t fun he was like “Stop dying and it will be”. :mad:
