I’m not sure but in Bungie was never good at original names. Grunts, Jackals, Brutes, Elites, Hunters…those were all pretty generic sounding.
EDIT: I wonder if calling the players Guardians is a kickback to an old Halo mystery. Whenever you get killed by something other than an enemy in Halo, the game log would say “Killed by the Guardians”. If it happens in Destiny, now it says “Killed by the Architects”. I’m not exactly sure what the correlation is there but im sure there is one.

so far ive been playing this game mainly solo. its been ok so far but it seems that none of my xbl friends are playing the game really. would be cool to actually play some of the co op with people other than with randoms.
I kinda want to roll out with a Titan once I hit level 20 but I’ve been getting good loot from the Raid play list.
You need to set it as your clan either on psn or xbox

I unlcocked Mars yesterday but have yet to check it out. Was too busy fulfilling Crucible Bounties.
By the way, Bounties are no fucking joke in terms of XP. That shit is insane. I gained a level and a half just from turning in 4 at once.

How would this be in the same universe when the events that transpired on Earth in Destiny are VERY different from what happened on Earth in Halo?

Well I mean humanity in Halo had ventured long beyond our own galaxy. Meanwhile in this game they only have access to 4 planets and no seemingly no knowledge of anything way out there.
I’m have 360/X1 versions, can usually play around 9pm Mountain Time. Looking for the co-op clan stuff, not really into the MP side aside from getting hochievements. Send a friend request if u like, GT in sig.
Doesn’t mean that they can’t still be in the same universe at different times, or that they can’t have shit like grunts or elite or jackals show up or something.

PSA: Remember to equip whatever you want upgraded(Armor/Weapons) when you turn in bounties. Shit helps ALOT.
The Crucible equalizes damage ratios so I don’t see how it’s unbalanced. It’s actually quite fun IMO. It’s SCARY similar to playing Halo Reach in fact. And I love the somewhat random aspect of being able to use your own guns and your own special powers. It’s cool you get to use your character and his or her abilities without restriction.
