I was thinking about that myself. I really like my Legendary sword and making it an Exotic means I can’t pair it up with Jade Rabbit.
Oh yeah has anybody talked about the ridiculous number of orbs nightstalker can spawn with bloodbound and the perk that grants orbs for shadowshot kills? Tether a group of enemies and pop a rocket launcher in there. A minimum of 8 orbs. There have been times that my fireteam refilled their supers twice off of me alone. And I just got my year two alpha crest so I can make even more.
Went through the nightfall and got the same exotic I was wearing when I beat the mission. As far as the *decrease percent of dropping items you already have *im not a believer.
currently 290(ish) light, having a lot of fun with the expansion so far. fav part to me is the weapon balance in pvp… i hope the meta never gets as stale as it was pre 2.0

Fuck that last mission on “The Taken War: Mars:” it’s seriously bullshit.
I’d also like to say that if that the armor design for year 2 gear is substantially better than anything from year 1. Year 1 gear was downright fucking ugly most of the time. So glad that I will never again have to wear a helmet that looks like I have high powered binoculars taped to the front of it.
So i finally hit lvl 40 with my Hunter just so i can run the nightfall before the reset, just to get the Telesto again…
The loot system being reworked my ass.
On the bright side, The Chaperone seems quite decent both for PVE and PVP.
Now i just need to wait for the Exotic Sword tomorrow, hopefuly it doesn’t take away my Legendary sword.
Some news about that. Kotaku investigated and got a response from Bungie. Basically, Exotic engrams only drop certain items, so when you farm them you’re going to get doubles.
Also, someone else is theorizing that when an Exotic engram drops, the item is already predetermined. The only thing not determined until decryption is it’s damage/armor value. So to avoid getting multiples, you should decrypt an Exotic engram right after you get it, instead of decrypting them all together.

Why do Legendary Gauntlet engrams give you artifacts? I wanted purple gloves. Not an artifact.
At least legendaries dont turn into uncommon gloves anymore.

I got the Chaperon today. I tested it out in pvp. It can be nasty as long as you hit crits, but it’s still not going to replace Felwinters/Matador/Party Crasher. It’s still a lot of fun to use.
Still grinding levels gear with my titan… soo many missions lol im still miffed about getting ttk late… oh well… that and missing out on xur and probably now the heroic/nightfall missions.

From what I’ve read, you lose the Legendary, but I don’t have firsthand knowledge. It’s made me question whether or not I want to do it. I like my current loadout.

As for the mission, apparently you’ll need a full fireteam. Trying to solo, even at 290+, doesn’t seem to be an easy task. I’m at 283 right now, so I’ll probably do Nightfall and some Heroic Strikes to get me over the hump.

It says that they can be sold by lord Shax, perhaps once you get your exotic there is a chance that he can seld the legendary version to you later.
