From my experience, you’'ll get 2 exotics every 10 tries. Had I spent 7 more coins, I’m sure I would’ve gotten 8 engrams.
I literally got 10 exotics to drop in a row lol. Got year 2 suros, Monte Carlo x 2, exotic fusion, exotic sniper x2, year 2 obsidian, light beyond nemesis, exotic gauntlets, alchemist raiments. Almost to 290 light.

I got that exotic auto rifle that chains lighting. It’s so good, especially when used with the Nightstalker super.
Tried using 5 in one try, got nothing, lmao.
They don’t work like that. They stack, but only after an exotic fails to drop after one is used. Gonna give it one more go before they patch this out.

Glad to see Crucible in this game is still “Bring an exotic HandCannon or lose”. The only legendary I have thats even putting up a fight is my Dealbreaker Auto Rifle.
Also what’s the shit I was hearing about how you’re guaranteed an Exotic weapon from one of the first Taken King quests? Because I never got it.
It’s the Veteran’s Tour quest - one of the first that you can get. At the end you get a green engram which decrypts into an Exotic. As long as you met the requirements to be considered a “veteran” you should get the quest on the first character you logged in as when TTK went live.
Anyway, Jade Rabbit is awesome. Think pre-nerf Black Hammer with an easier perk trigger. Especially use against large Ultras because your DPS just goes through the roof - though it didn’t seem to trigger against Land Tanks.
And don’t sleep on the sword. Make sure you infuse that thing. I tear Majors apart with it. I throw a smoke grenade, then head in there and destroy them. I probably won’t be packing Shotguns anymore, unless I need a RL for something specific. Right now I’m rolling with Jade Rabbit, a fusion and the sword.
Another thing, strikes are awesome again. The same strike can be completely different than it was the last time you played it. On the Valus T’Aruc strike, a Taken boss took the place of the Land Tank boss fight. In total I’ve done that strike three times and all three were different. So much fun. The characters also have different dialogue. I’ve done Sunless Cell about 4 times now and it’s been different dialogue three times. One in particular was interesting because Eris gave background about why the boss that you end up fighting took the actions he did to end up where he was. LORE4TW.

I tried it again with 60 three of coins and got a shit ton of exotics this time. I don’t even know what to do with all these lol.
Sounds like you guys had more success than I did. 50 runs, 10 exotics - not that I’m complaining.
I’m calling bullshit on this new RNG system. Bungie said they were tweaking things to make it less likely that you receive gear and exotics that you already have, yet that shit happens every other game or mission I finish. I even got another Year 2 Light Beyond Nemesis MINUTES after already getting it to drop with the 3 of Coins exploit.
At least I got a Year 2 Monte Carlo out of it…
This raid is something else. Got to Oryx daughters and had to call it for a while needed a break… fuck gorgoth or whatever his name is lol, that fight was intense.

Oh yeah. The veteran stuff. You mean where to be considered a veteran I had to be level 30 according to the old shitty light system, and have all the DLC? But I didnt have the DLC because I sold the game, but I didnt count as a veteran even though I started playing on launch day?

Made it about halfway through the raid last night but had to call it quits when it got too late. I won’t give anything away, but I will say it’s mad fun. Way better than CE and might even give VoG a run for its money.
I had to shave my neck this morning.
Speaking of that, i finally got to the adecuate level with my titan to run the nightfall just to get strange coins…
The only reason why i wasn’t mad is because hopefully they will net me at least 1 exotic next friday if they have not patched the fun out yet.
BTW, i really, really hope that the exotic sword doesn’t take my legendary sword away, otherwise i am not really sure on wanting it.
