Goddamn, I haven’t played Destiny in a while. Never bought any of the DLC because it didn’t seem worth it, but The Taken King peeked my interest, at least for a moment. I can’t believe the shit Bungie is pulling now, I used to fuckin’ love this studio. It’s hard to imagine that these are the same devs that once gave Halo 2’s dlc away for free.

Probably not the guy you want doing interviews. If you read through his douchey tone, it sounds like dances and emotes will become micro-transactions. I don’t agree with the “throwing money at the screen” part because I would never spend money on things like that anyway, but I’m sure some people would. It’s fine as long as micro-transactions are only for cosmetics. I would never buy the collectors edition just for the bonuses, but heard one of the popular Destiny streamers did just that, and now the collector editions are all sold out. Well, you know what they say about fools and their money…
but anyway…was happy to see this weeks nightfall was not Omnigol, and finally got a useful drop out of it.
This nightfall is super easy now that Valus had his health adjusted. I used the old hiding spot since it’s solar burn this time, and it better protects against all the splash damage than the newer spots.
How awesome would it be if this negative PR resulted in a free emote of our Guardian throwing money back at your screen from in the game?
This nightfall is so easy with Solar damage, Valus dies in like 10 Gjallarhorns, the bitch barely has a chance to do anything when he comes out, lol.

Can’t wait for what Bungie has in store in the Weekly Update to make up for Luke Smith’s idiocy. The thing that boggles my mind even more is that people are concerned about the exclusive emote… what about the EXOTIC CLASS ITEM that gives an XP bonus?
Still ain’t paying $80 for it though.

What I’m hearing is that I was right in buying the game and the 2 DLC bundle and that I should just play them and leave the rest of it alone. Gotcha. Once the fallen king goes on sale, I’ll THINK about it. Probably not much thinking then either.

I bought the game recently and upon reaching around level 32 I can’t find groups. Maybe its because I am so reliant on group finders or match making but what are some common ways of finding groups for raids or even clans/guilds?
DestinyLFG for groups. As for clans, maybe the Destiny reddit or Bungie forums.
Bungie’s answer to collector edition drama, is to offer the collector edition bonuses, 3 emotes, 3 class emblems and 3 shaders for $20…yikes. That’s the same prices as an expansion.
I hope that’s not the “something better” that they were taking about. The free sparrow and shader are nothing new, we were getting that anyway.
They did say this update was one of two. Hopefully part two is more substantial.

Nope. Today’s update is going to be the regular Weekly Update we always get. They even said so themselves. 
People wanted to not have to rebuy stuff to get the cosmetic shit. Bungie gave them a way. You don’t have to buy it.
I’m definitely not going to buy it. I just think that price point is way off. I don’t see the value.
Yeah, I’ll pay $40 for the expansion. That’s it.
