I was playing IB yesterday and got the AR and the sniper within 15min of each other, got to lvl 4 and bought the rocket launcher, used about motes 30 in all to tune each one to my liking.
sooooo whos going to be the 1st SRKer to beat crota hard mode tomorrow? 
Iām down to try. Gotta 32 Titan with maxed IB, Black Hammer, Hunger of Crota, and a bunch of other exotics that might come in handy. I do not have the Ghorn (yet?), but Iāve beaten Crota legit a few times on normal and Iām familiar with the process. I definitely want to give it a go tomorrow.
Im currious as to what the hardmode mechanic is gonna be.
Like crota himself isnt a hard foght at all. Its really only hard for the aword barer since hes the only one in danger. If anyone else dies than they failed super fucking hard because you should never even have to touch the chalice at all durring the encounter. Oh snap maybe they remove the chalice entirelyā¦ Then people would demand guns like surros and red death to do the raid. I bet the raid will be cleared even faster than normal ce
I have a few guesses on what will be in Hard Mode. These are just my opinions nothing official:
Scenario 1:
Presents of Crota will be active throughout the Raid, the Chalice will spawn at the beginning of the Pit. Oversoul spawns from the Bridge onwards and is triggered by killing a swordbearer. All knights have arc shields. During Crota fight, holding the sword triggers weight of darkness.
Scenario 2:
Presents of Crota will slowly drain health and the chalice must be contiually passed around.
I wonder if the Gatekeepers above the Crystal during the Crota fight will play a role in Hard Mode. Right now they seem to only be an anti-cheese enemy in normal.

Well, I got maxed horn and will probably hit 32 tonight on my Titan, so Iām up for Wednesday night Hard Mode Crota.
Iāll do regular Crota with my Hunter, and Nightfall with Titan tonight if anyone else is up for it.
May be up for both depending on the time you want to run it. Between Nightfall and CE I need either an exotic helmet and raid chest or raid helmet and exotic chest.
Truthfully though, other than the mobs being 33 instead of 32, I donāt see how the raid can be that much more difficult for 31s. Obviously youāll want to limit how many you bring along, but CE runs more on mechanics than outright difficultly.

Summoning Pits with Arc Damage.
So after a marathon Crota run, I got the raid chest and helmet. Hopefully Iāll have them leveled in time to run hard mode this weekend.
If it makes you feel any better, I wouldāve taken that drop. I ended up w/ a Legendary Rocket Launcher w/ 1 rocket mag (no perk to increase) and somewhat crappy perks. My entire fireteam got bad Legendary drops. We were all just kinda silent in amazement, expecting that second loot slot to give us something good.

I got 10 coins and two purples from the nightfall. I have about 150 coins now since I havenāt bought anything from Xur in 3 weeks.
I forgot to level my Eidolon Ally. I guess I should get it ready in the off chance I get the Crux of Crota. I really need an Arc Primary, Iāll even take the pulse rifle at this point.

Hard mode is live. Raid Primary weapons can drop throughout the Raid, not just from crota.
