yup Kirk spawns in the depths, and another spawns in the bottom/swamp area of BlightTown (maneater mildred). leeroy is in tomb of giants, there is another in the painted world.
however, apparently you have to be in human for AND not have beaten that area’s boss for them to spawn.
So tell me, is there any reason to pick naked dude rather than any of the other classes at creation, or is he just supposed to be hardmode or something?
The stray demon is pretty easy. Stick close and circle him so you are never in front, he only has two moves that can fuck you there-- buttstomp (which he has to fly up for) and the explosion spell (which has a long charge time). Then just take your time. Or come back later and beat him then, since he is totally optional.
Sen’s fortress wizards don’t have a way to block, and they get staggered easily. Dodge the lightning if you are in an open area, block it otherwise (which hurts since you don’t have a shield with good lightning resist), and hit them while circling them. Watch out for their grab attack though, but it has a long startup.
You should join each covenant once just for their gifts.
And everyone complaining about blighttown-- yeah, it sucks. Probably the worst area in the game.
So, I tried that with the Stray Demon, I just can’t seem to get the hang of his explosion attack. I think it’s because of the camera angle. I just don’t see the start up…Yeah, I’ll probably go back though. Not so great of a player of these games. xD
As far as the wizards go, would you say it’s worth dropping down at the beginning of the first bridge to kill the group of three? Then move on and take down the Prowling Demon? Those guys ain’t so bad. Silly no head.
As far as the covenant thing goes, I’m trying to get to level 3 with the spider so I can get the final gift. Not worth it? And, do you know what the dragon gives?
the funniest boss I had to fight was the moonlight butterfly, when I teamed up with people it gets bored and flies away. so I ended up having to do it by myself, and I was only lvl 21 beat that piece of shit though
im stuck at blight town now, waiting for people to help me get pass the bloody stage.
dark souls is funny, one of the skeleton guys killed that faith guy so now when I go to the lifts the faith guys cronies are waiting for me there, I didnt kill him! why are they after me?
The ones that you have to drop down to fight don’t do anything. You are heading up. The headless dudes aren’t worth fighting yet, just take note of where they are and come back later on.
Spider is really easy to max out at a later point, since you’ll be able to farm all the humanity you want. You can stick with it if you want, but it should take you about an hour to get the humanity to get it to max level.
Dude, If you’re in Sen’s Fortress, don’t drop down AT ALL. You have no reason objectively to be down there unless you want to kill the golems, which you shouldn’t bother with unless you have the Rusted Iron Ring(improves footing in water, etc.). Unless you’re confident that you can kill them anyway, which you seem to be.
I don’t have it, but I know all the gifts in the Chaos covenant are pyromancy so if you’re doing that anyway then it’s probably worth it.
maxing the spider ( i think it’s the chaos one you guys are talking about) doesnt grant you a gift, the only gift is a level 2, anything beyond that is for shits and giggles, and that’s about right for all the covenants.
From the beginning of the actual ruins, after the stairs past the dumb looking thing, there are three paths-- one to the right, one diagonally up right that is a root, and then straight up which leads to the boss. Take the root path and look around. But join the spider covenant before you do-- I think that might be required for the area to appear.
As long as you leave covenants by talking to the guy that absolves sins, you will not be penalized. Just talk to him FIRST. Then you can join another, then talk to him again, then re-join your old one.
Damn, I figured those hidden trophies were for maxing out covenants, not a shitload of covenants that I’ve missed!
I’ve yet to go to the Painted World, literally just found it from reading your other post. Pretty cool, I’m definitely going there before I finish the game tomorrow. I might need to go back to get the Strange Doll from the Asylum if I don’t have it already, though. Where’s the room with the painting in Anor Londo?
Anyone know where these covenants are? Darkwraith, Warrior of Sunlight, Blade of the Darkmoon.
I’m looking forward to getting the Plat now, the trophies I have left are all fun to get. Plus, I can farm the hell out of Black Knights for every type of Titanite Chunk which can be fed to the serpent king and turned into Large Titanite Shards. I should have a crapload of materials for my 2nd playthrough, but I need a guide of somekind to show me how to create the best and most unique weapons.
To get to the room with the painting, rotate that main thing bridge/spiral thing in AL in the center of the city. You’ll go back to that cathedral place where you had to fight those ninja dudes in white. The painting is fucking huge and at the back of the building, just run up to it and mash X.
I’m going back and getting the items I missed. Silver serpent ring! Hawk ring! Next I’m going to do the merchants. I think I’m going to try to buy as much as I can by the end of this game.
